How can this not fit into the port on my samsung s22 ultra? defective?

I don't have an S22 Ultra, but in order to answer this question, I have tried the adapter in everything I have that has a USB C port it it fits all of them. Here's the list: GoPro, an old Samsung S8 Active, Pixel 6, and a pixel book. There were no issues with the fit. If you have a case on your phone, take it off and see if it fits. Good luck.
