I know it’s a dull blade but would you be able to sharpen it so you can use it to cut things?

It is a learning and practice blade even if you sharpened it you would probably never get a good edge and it would compromise the stability of it.

My 12-year-old nephew has his birthday. How about giving this as a birthday gift? Is it suitable for novices?

This was for my 9-year-old son. He said yes, excellent for a quick how to lesson.Great for beginners. So overall yes you should buy it.

Will it break easily during use?

I think it was durable. My son loves them and they do hold up pretty well especially for the price.

Mult-popose. A lot of people play tricks, but I use them to relax my fingers and make them more flexible.
