They Work.
I am a long distance walker, hiker, and backpacker. I have been using these patches for several years. They prevent blisters on the balls and heels of my feet. They also work for placement anywhere needed. I have been experimenting for over 30 years to build a combination of boots, socks, insoles, and blister prevention that works. I have found a few that work but none better than: Merrell Moab 2 GTX Mid boots, Wright socks, Sofsole Perform Athlete insoles, and ENGO patches. I give most of the credit to the Wright socks and ENGO patches. I suspect that combination would work with many different boot and insole combos. I have never had any trouble with the adhesive and I do a lot of my walking in the heat of Texas and Arizona. I'm on road and trail approximately 150-175 miles a month doing between 5 and 20 miles each hike (I even did a 40 miler last spring. My feet were sore and tired but without blisters or even hot spots.) I get 4 or 5 months out each set of these patches. I think the double layer Wright socks are taking up a lot of the sliding and making the patches last longer. That's a good thing because they are a bit pricey. I would like to say I will stop buying them because they cost too much but I won't. That's because I'm an old retired guy now and I need all the help I can get to stay out in the woods. Happy Trails.

Fantastic Product
I frequently develop blisters in the arch areas of my feet from running. I have tried different shoe brands, different shoe sizes, different socks, foot glide, bandages...I have even tried shoe fittings prior to a purchase. Nothing would work to prevent these arch blisters from forming as soon as the number of miles per week would begin to increase. Halfway through a recent marathon training program, the blisters were so painful that I was forced to take a full week off from running. I stumbled upon the ENGO patches while searching for blister prevention options and figured they would be worth a try. They worked immediately. I applied the patches to both shoes as described within the instructions. They provided instant relief for the blisters and allowed me to resume running while the blisters continued to heal. The patches remained "stuck" to the shoes in the exact location they were applied, even through the remainder of the marathon training program and the actual marathon. I have now ordered additional ENGO patches and have added them to all of my running shoes. I could not be happier with these!

Works as advertised. Don't get them wet.
The patches do help prevent blisters or allow continued walking with blisters. I have attached them to the insides of my shoes to prevent my toes from rubbing on my shoes and also attached them to my orthotics after getting blisters. One of the patches on my orthotics fell off after getting wet and I got a blister on that toe right away. The adhesive from the patch stayed on my orthotics and I needed to use Goof-off to remove the adhesive. I read the post about duct tape. I may try that on the next pair of shoes since you cannot transfer the patches. I gave them 4 out of 5 stars because they come off after getting wet and the price is a bit much for the number of patches received.

Works great!
I rubbed through my third pair of tennis shoes on the inside back heel to the point I couldn’t wear them without getting a painful blister. Nothing worked to fit it until this. I took a very small piece of foam and filled in the crater I had made and covered it with these strips. Worked like a charm. No more friction. Saved my shoes and feet. I will preemptively put these in any future tennis shoes.

Excellent for blisters — can’t feel they are there
I love to hike but get blisters very easily. I thought I’d tried everything over the years (every shoe, every sock, every commercial insole) but I now have a new regime. These are an essential part of that. They were easy to apply, don’t change the fit of the shoe, and are only noticeable where I’ve put them over a rough-textured insole — they are smoother than the insole, I otherwise can’t tell they are there. EXCEPT that I don’t get nearly as many blisters. I still get an occasional blister, especially if I haven’t been out hiking for awhile, but nowhere near the numbers I was getting before! These have been especially helpful for blisters I was getting all along the bottom of my feet. I use these with HikeGoo, Band-Aid or Dr. Frederick’s blister patches (on your feet), and Wright’s double layered socks. I do still feel like I need all of these products for the best chance of avoiding blisters, but I think these ENGO patches have made the largest difference.

Did not even stick to new shoes
I have a pair of Brooks Ghost 10s that gave me a blister on my left heel (where the insole meets the soft padding in the back of the shoe). I applied one of these to the almost new shoes and the patch did not adhere very well. Not only did I have a fairly uncomfortable wrinkle in it (my bad), but I easily pulled the patch off after a long walk. I used alcohol to clean the shoes and tried again a day later... it kind of stuck to the insole, but did not stick to the back of the shoe. I like the shoes so much that I bought a 2nd pair and applied a patch to the new shoes... again it did not stick to the back of the shoe and could easily be pulled off after a 3 mile walk (even though body heat is supposed to help set the adhesive). I'm not sure if I got a bad batch, but I have used 3 of the 4 larger stickers and really don't see the point in trying again... at least not for the heel area. I was hoping for a somewhat permanent solution but I am going to try mole skin next. I read all the great reviews and followed all the directions so I really don't understand. : (

Absolutely Legit
I recently was told by a doctor that I have Haglund's deformity; aka bone spurs. I "solved" my issues by using these double layered socks along with silicone based lubricants; however, I had to wear heavily broken in shoes. This means that I have to incorporate a whole regimen of breaking in shoes while in leagues with riding carts before a pair of shoes can graduate to walking status. I just added a new product to my protective arsenal that allowed me to wear very new shoes without a single hot spot or blister forming. These patches let me walk 18 holes with almost brand new shoes. I'm not sure how well they would work alone, but with multiple angles of prevention these things are great.

I have always had an issue with heel blisters (seriously painful and bloody) and have tried many many things
I'm an avid backpacker and climber. I have a narrow but long foot with a protruding heel. I have always had an issue with heel blisters (seriously painful and bloody) and have tried many many things... I have always had good Swiss/Italian leather/plastic boots that supposedly fit narrow feet but I still had painful blisters that really detract from the whole outdoor experience. For years I thought that's just what you have to deal with and you just have to tough it out. I tried the Engo large ovals on my boot heels about 2yrs ago and they have finally worn through. I honestly didn't think much of them at the time but was willing to give them a try. I didn't get one blister for that entire 2yr team time! These things are amazing!!! But once they wore through I started getting blisters again. These things are quite pricy for what they are but worth it if you have chronic blisters. I would recommend the 6 pack with 4 large ovals and 2 small ovals for the overall price. As far as the install goes I would recommend wiping the install area with Isopropyl alcohol washing your hands and then installing from the middle of surface outwards. Wear the boots lightly and keep pressing the product in over a couple days. Good to go! Happy travels!
