Excellent
I enjoyed this book immensely. It keeps you gripped throughout and I found it difficult to read some things, especially the KGB sfuff. Definitely un-put-downable

Great story.
It has been done before, catching the Nazi. But the Nazi came across interesting. The characters involved, their personal side, the lives highlighted of those who do work in the shadows. Very enjoyable.

A fast-paced exploration of evil.
Baldacci. What a massively talented author. He can weave action and adventure out of any of the various scenarios he chooses to write about. This book is no exception. I had a feeling as I speedily (for me slow is speedy) turned the pages that I had either read it before or seen a film based upon it. That said the latter chapters contained outcomes that I wasn't aware of. 100% recommend.

Baldacci, Child and Connelly
In this instance Baldacci at his best - riveting read.

workmanlike
The narrative knocks along at a good pace after the scene setting beginning has excitingly played out. But it’s hard to suspend critical faculties as improbabilities begin to build up. This reader reckons it is a bit too long and would have benefitted from a tough editor of the narrative. Ok but far from a cracking yarn.

Not as good as usual
Disappointed with this book. I didn't think it was up to the usual standard and I became bored before I'd got half way through. I thought the complications were too obvious and the plot transparent I scanned and skipped my way through it to the end and the final few chapters did not change my view. Glad this was not the first book I'd read by this author otherwise I might not have read any more; however, this is the first Shaw & Katie James book that I've read so perhaps this series is just not as good as the others.

Great story
Very well developed characters and story line. The bad guys are evil and deserve their fate. I’m sympathetic to the issues that the main characters have to deal with. Well done.

Brilliant writer
I love Baldacci’s writing. Incredible paced plot but wonderful scenes and history and terrific characters. A low tech academic vigilantism meets old school kgb and high tech nuclear world and child sex trafficking. Shaw and Reggie are so original but even Frank grows on you. Great read.

Good read
The story is interesting but felt it tends to drag at places. End seems a bit abrupt too given how the entire book was built up.
