Worked perfectly on friend's 2011 Electra Glide. He purchased after market bags and they did not come with hardware. Easy to install and held bags on securely. They've been on for a few hundred miles now.

These seem to hold up well. The OEM ones kept coming loose.

I wanted these to work because the idea is great—quick-release, convenient, and no tools needed. Unfortunately, my real-world experience was the complete opposite of what you’d want from something that’s literally holding your saddlebag onto your bike. I installed the VPZMT fasteners on my Harley hard saddlebags and made absolutely sure they were seated and secured before riding. Everything felt fine in the garage. No looseness, no obvious issues. But on my first interstate ride, that confidence disappeared fast. Somewhere at highway speed, the fasteners backed out and completely fell off mid-ride. With nothing holding it in place, my hard saddlebag flew off the bike. Thankfully I was able to recover it, but it could have easily caused a serious accident—for me or someone behind me. That was enough for me. Convenience means nothing if the part doesn’t do its one job: keeping your saddlebags attached to your motorcycle. If you value your bike and your safety, skip these and use proper bolted hardware. It may take an extra minute to install, but it’s worth the peace of mind knowing your bags aren’t going to eject themselves on the highway. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I would absolutely not trust these again.

These are a direct replacement for the HD factory saddle bag pins. At a fraction of the HD price they work great. Recommend for anyone with an older HD and have issues with the original pins spreading open and becoming difficult to install

The rings are not sturdy, they pop off easily. The retainers work just like the originals but the quality is less.
