Accu-Chek Aviva Plus 50 Test Strips

I was shocked to see that they shipped an expired set of strips. On May 31st, I received item that expired in Jan 2019.

I ordered 2 boxes this time because my prior orders have resulted in my receiving valid strips. This time one of the boxes had expired almost three months prior.

I received the strips in their small plastic container within a box within a box as is usual with Amazon. What was not usual is that the plastic container was open. Having used a few of the strips I find they are reading at least 30% higher than my usual readings and do not come even close to matching the readings I would expect. I have tested them with at least one other person and their readings were a good 30% too high as well. It's a shame as these strips usually work fine.

Got one expiring in July 2022, enough time to spare. Will stick with this provider for now.

The test strips do require less blood to use than my previous meter / strips but, (1) because they are not individually wrapped, I have to use tweezers to separate and remove the strips from the storage cannister, and (2) while they do require less blood, if enough blood is not applied initially, you can't add additional blood to complete the measurement, but have to discard the test strip and start over.

The strips were well within their expiratation date and of same quality as previously ordered.

Great value for money. Similar strips cost almost $100 in a regular pharmacy. The expiration date is also good valid At least for an Year from date of purchase. Have been buying this regularly and have had very good experience with the same. If you need to monitor your blood sugar levels I will recommend this product as a very economical option to keep track of your sugar levels. Love it. The seller shipped much earlier than the expected date of delivery.

have had my meter for some years now. The plus just means you no longer have to have a code. Reliable with few strip errors.
