Love the BBSs. Tone is great, crisp and bright and the longevity is a big plus. These strings have lasted me a year in the past with only a slight loss of tone. They are a little more expensive than regular strings but it’s definitely worth the investment.

These are nice sounding and long wearing strings. The coating does feel a bit odd to the touch, kind of dry and not slippery, you can get used to it though. I would buy them again.

Insanely good strings, great feel on the fingers, and the sound is exactly what i needed, be aware that these are coated so you won't be grounding your bass when touching the strings! (If you have hum on the bass) Normal roundwounds without coating made my fingers bleed while playing songs with a lot of slides, this one never made that happends, pretty happy with these strings, would recommend!

I decided to venture into the world of coated strings. Came across these black beauties and they have become my new go-tos for my Ibanez. Aesthetic wise, they look sleek and unique against my black bass. Sound wise, the coating really reduced the finger noise that usually comes with standard uncoated strings. They also feel really nice on the fingers. The tone is fat, slight growl on the lower strings and not too bright overall (which I much prefer, I play mostly gospel and neo-soul/R&B). I don't feel the need to "break them in" like I have to do with a set of Ernie's or D'addarios. I will admit, the coating wears off quickly around the plucking fingers, but this doesn't affect the sound at all (just takes away from the aesthetic slightly). So far with 2 purchases, I haven't noticed any wear around the rest of the strings other than that. With weekly rehersals, church service commitments and personal practice I'm able to get about 5-6 months out of these personally. I know a lot of people review that they keep them on longer and still have great tone. To keep them clean, I usually wipe them down with a soft microfiber cloth. These are pricier than my usual D'addario strings, but I feel they are worth the investment, especially with how long they last.

I never expected these to sound better than my go-to Earnie Ball strings but even down tuned to A these sound absolutely amazing. They look pretty bad ass too.
