Fits DELL G7
This fits DELL G7 perfect. However, I didn't notice when ordering that this one doesn't provide the backlighting like the original. I noticed after I had taken laptop apart and there was no extra ribbon cable to power the backlighting. Otherwise, this is a perfect replacement - no fitment issues and I would definitely recommend if you don't care about not having the backlighting.

no back light
It states there back light, but it does not turn on except the CAP LOCK. The fit is a little bit off, although it still fits in the frame. Already installed it spending 1hour, don’t want to repeat the process to take it off and return.

Not for the faint of heart
Keyboard works great. As others have mentioned this is not an easy swap. I am fairly techy and replaced a laptop screen before, but this was much more challenging. You have to take the entire laptop apart. I followed a YT video. You need the 2 small Phillips heads, and you need a set of the tech plastic pry tools (not sure the official word for them) Lots of ribbons to unplug and plug back in...HDD, keyboard, monitor, battery, power, etc. Use a magnetic matt or some system for keeping track of all the screws...there's about 40-50. If you are techy, patient, and take your time, it's def doable. If you are not those 3 and don't want to buy the above tools then I'd skip it.

Fits and works as expected
The only thing is you have to fold the cable yourself, just fold in the same place as the original (there are marks)

Download the service manual
I got the blue backlit model and it's a near-perfect replacement. The only difference between it and the original is that the original had highlighted WASD keys. (I guess for gamers who want a gaming laptop but don't already know which keys are the traditional movement keys?) Installation tip: Dell has the laptop service manual online, which includes complete disassembly instructions. Get it. You have to remove practically every other component to get to the keyboard. I recommend keeping each component's screws in separate *labeled* containers. It makes it *so* much easier to reassemble. Also, be aware you'll need tiny little screwdrivers. All the screws are Phillips head, but you'll need size 0 and 000 drivers.
