Best Wallet I Have Ever Owned!!
I am in my 40's so I have owned quite a few wallets over the years. Most were mass produced (Dockers, Wilson Leather, Fossil, etc.) and were adequate for what they are used for. This MUTBAK Citadel wallet surpasses them all! It is well made with high quality leather (no imperfections or blemishes), great stitching and overall a beautiful wallet. It smells great too! I don't know about the rest of you, but I LOVE the smell of tanned leather. All my cards, ID's, key cards (more about that) fit in it perfectly. It is initially a tight fit for some. However, after removing, reinserting, removing, reinserting - it breaks in quickly. If you know anything about good quality leather and stitching, a break-in period is to be expected for that leather item to conform and perform the way you want it to. That is the case with this MUTBAK wallet - a short (purposeful) break-in period is needed. This is a top notch, great looking, wallet that any man would love to own! RFID/NFC Blocking Review (for those that care): Now, about the key cards I mentioned earlier (RFID cards for security door entry). The wallet that this MUTBAK replaced did not have RFID/NFC blocking. I have always kept my primary key card for work in my wallet and used it to badge in. When your hands are full, "Butt-Badging" is very convenient (where you keep your key card in your wallet and your wallet is in your back pocket and you lift up and touch the card reader with your back pocket to allow access). If you "Butt-Badge" now, you will not be able to do so after getting this wallet. I found that I had to place my key card in the ID window (behind my drivers license) and pull my wallet out and flip the ID flap out and touch the door badge reader in order to gain entry. No other location would allow the badge reader to read my badge. AND THAT IS A GOOD THING! Whatever the RFID/NFC blocking material that MUTBAK uses is, it WORKS! Side scanning (from the top or bottom of the wallet) down to the key card in one of the many card slots did NOT allow the badge reader to detect my key card. Literally the only way I could keep my key card in my wallet, and still have it usable from within my wallet, was to place the key card in the ID window AND I have to flip it out and expose the window and touch it to the badge reader in order for it to read. This is literally the ONLY area that is not fully protected and you REALLY have to purposely expose that area in order for the card to be read. GREAT RFID/NFC BLOCKING!! +++++

Looked forever for this wallet ... old school perfection!
I am so excited about this wallet! I'm 60 years old and very old school ... meaning I remember how things used to last for many, many years because of quality materials and construction. My old leather wallet finally needed to be replaced after around 12 years so I started my research into the perfect wallet (for me at least) at a fair price. I came up with a good choice B and C, but until now I didn't have a choice A ... until I received my Mutbak wallet today ... success! It's one of those things that all you have to do is see it, hold it, rub it and smell it ... then you instantly know ... yep, this is it! It is full grain leather and definitely is an oiled leather style and feel ... so it's gonna get even better with age, scratches, rubs and friction from daily use. It's a standard size bifold wallet (the only kind I'll ever use) that has plenty of room for at least 8+ cards, money, receipts and side areas for a few business cards or whatever floats your boat. If I'm gonna be 100% honest, then I wish that the ID fold down portion could be removed, but it is NOT removable and the window is plastic. I'm not a fan of plastic inside of my beautiful heavy duty quality leather wallet but it is not a deal breaker because everything else is pure perfection! The only thing that is unknown is how long it will last ... my guess is around the same time as my last one ... but we shall see. Finally, on a personal note ... I love the fact that this is a small business success story ... so that encourages me to do my part by helping them out. Give Mutbak a try ... even if it's a weird name!

Outstanding product and just as promised
After careful consideration of several possible choices, I selected the Mutbak wallet. The deciding factors were design (I liked this one best), number of credit card slots (5 more than my previous wallet), apparent leather quality (looked likely to be the best of all the wallets I was considering), and apparent workmanship quality (equal to or better than all the others). Note that I used the word "apparent" more than once. This is because one can not be sure of certain attributes by reading the product description and looking at pictures (although they help) but the customer reviews helped to validate my impressions. So here is the punchline. I received my new wallet a few days ago and it is exactly what I was expecting. The leather is topnotch and the workmanship matches. The design and functionality are just as I saw on the product page. So, I am delighted. Notice that I have not said much about cost. I think this wallet was the most costly of the wallets I considered. But, in my view $34.99 is just not very much money for all the values that this wallet satisfies - at least for me. I think the least expensive wallet I had on my list was in the low teens. So you wallet costs 2 to 3 times as much as the least costly option I considered. As a percentage, the Mutbak is pricey. But the overall difference was only $20. I will likely have this wallet for the next 20 years and everytime I take it out of my pocket, I will notice the leather and how well it is made and how well it stores all things I keep in it. All for $20. In the end, this was an easy decision. There is one suggestion I can offer. I would have chosen brown over black had you had a uniformly-colored (not mottled like Memphis), deep, rich brown option (Durango and Moab were too light). All in all, this was a homerun purchase for me. I am out of the wallet market for a long, long time.

Good wallet - nice card compartments.
Just what I was looking for. Convenient license sleeve and plenty of card slots, with ample room for actual cards. (Many wallets 'squeeze' the credit cards - barely fitting in. A divided 'dollar' pouch seems handy - for cash bills and those little notes or temporary business cards that I need to put somewhere. I haven't had the wallet too long - so the durability is yet to be seen, but it appears well stitched and reasonably tough. Hence- the four star rating - durability and the test of time could make this a 5 star review.) Fits nicely into the rear back pocket of my jeans.(I also like the natural leather color. Although, that may not be any deciding factor for someone else.) I would recommend this as a good purchase.

Excellent quality
Quality begins before you even open the wallet. When it arrived, it was boxed, in a small linen bag, wrapped in plastic, and with soft paper under the plastic to prevents scuffs. There were internal cardboard pieces to additionally protect the interior. The leather is stiff--which you expect with new leather--but supple and it flexes well. Adding my personal effects was done easily. The inner lining of the wallet is a very nice fabric, very smooth and tightly woven. The seams of the wallet are well-constructed and done neatly. I believe that a man is judged based on the quality of the goods he carries. Clothing is too easy to fake, but the wallet is something more personal, seen only when a man has need of it. It's too easy to get a 'leather' wallet from Target or Wal-Mart and save some money, but quality is worth everything. This looks good. It retains a nice leather scent. It is thick but not overtly so. This wallet has even coloring, and the feel of real leather on the fingertips helps convey that I value fine things. This wallet fully meets my expectations, and I am happy that it arrived so quickly and securely.

Much better than expected for the money
It was much better than I expected for the price. I think this is one of those great finds showing you don't have to pay crazy high prices to get an excellent product. It's very well made and certainly will last for a lot of years to come. Features I like about it are: it's thin but sturdy, has two compartments for bills, has a windowed insert for my drivers license, has a lot of built in slots and doesn't need one of those cheap plastic inserts for credit cards. If you double the card slots you can easily fit 14 credit cards plus a drivers license. If you us the slots under the credit card inserts (I don't) you could get another 2 to 4 credit cards in there as well. I have 9 cards in the wallet plus my drivers license and it's reasonable thin and looks nice. If I buy a wallet as a gift for someone I'd definitely get another one of these Mutbak wallets for them.

Perfect wallet!
After using the same wallet for the last five years, I decided to forego the remaining years of its usefulness in favor of one with RFID protection. It wasn't an easy decision, as one tends to get attached to something they've heavily used for so long, but after using this wallet from MUTBAK for nearly two weeks, I can confidently say that decision has definitely turned out to be a good one! As other reviews have already stated, this is clearly a very well made wallet, and when compared to my old one that still had a few years left in it, I wouldn't be surprised if this lasted me for a decade or longer. It has the perfect number of pockets (in my opinion), and while it is a little thick at first, it's already flattened out a bit, and I would expect that it'll get down to the width I'd prefer in due time. The design is functional in ways which I didn't think to want before, but which I have come to appreciate a great deal. On top of all of that, the customer service is great, and it arrived much quicker than I had expected, so MUTBAK may have found a new loyal customer with this! UPDATE: I’ve now been using this wallet for over a year, and it continues to exceed my expectations! I fully expect it to last me at least a decade.

Nice wallet but beware excess adhesive.
This is a nice wallet, but a little on the pricey side for what it is. It is pretty stiff right out of the box and I have some trouble pulling my credit cards out at the cash register. I expect this will get better as I break it in with use. My major complaint is that one of the card slots had some excess adhesive in it from the manufacturing process. This gummed up one of the corners of my credit card and made it really hard to extract from the slot. The slot is still "gummy" and I will probably just avoid using that one. Thankfully there are a lot of other slots for cards and whatnot. It is marketed as RFID blocking, but I can still open doors with my RFID cards when they are inside the wallet so I'm not sure what it is blocking... I will continue to use it, but I wouldn't recommend it to others. This would get a higher ranking if it wasn't for the gummy slot and the weirdness with the RFID.
