Realized damage after I open the package. Quality control is not good

I really want to like this spatula. However, the first one I ordered had a 1 cm long crack extending lengthwise from the edge of the spat all the way through, beginning almost exactly in the center of the spat's leading edge. The replacement's leading edge is so uneven it is not really useful for turning, scraping or deglazing. The edge thickness varies wildly and the edge is uneven and chipped. Too bad, the first one was just about perfect other than the 1cm crack in the center of the edge. Eventually it will split in half or break, and it will collect bacteria until then. It would be easy to clean, other than the crack on the most used part of the spat clearly visible on both sides. The replacement, it's just a curved piece of chipped, splintered and wavy edged olive wood with a handle. I would not have purchased either of these shipped items if they were on display in a store. Both are defective. Amazon must be selling manufacturer rejects, or possibly returns from other merchants.

These are exactly the type of spoons I was looking to use for cooking, they feel and look great. Problem is that the slotted spoon was already cracked when it arrived and the regular spoon had a chip out of it. I am going to try for a replacement pair but if they dont hold up upon arrival then I am returning all of them.

Heavy weight, well constructed, no cracks, beautiful grain, what’s not to like? I have lots of olive wood turners, spoons, and other utensils as well as olive wood storage containers, cutting boards, and more. Most of which were purchased at a well-known very expensive kitchenware store. I would put this at the top of the list for quality.

Don't bother looking any further, these are the best quality wooden spoons you will find on here. The rest are trash.
