Amazon eero Beacon mesh WiFi range extender (add-on to eero WiFi systems)

I have a big old (late 19th C) house. Modem on the second floor. Previously, reception on the 1st and 3rd floors was pretty bad, and I was resorting to ethernet via the powerlines, which worked OK-ish. When I switched internet providers, I decided to try the mesh network, too. I needed a beacon on both the 1st and 3rd floors, but it's working great. I was amazed as how many gizmos and cables I could pull out and put away after quitting ethernet via powerlines. I started by renting the router and 1st beacon from my ISP, but I just bought my own. This will pay for itself in just over a year. … A year or so later, I’m still happy

We live in a 3750 sq ft ranch-style home. It's a hike from one end to the other. With a traditional router, we didn't get the best WiFi coverage at the further reaches from the unit. We now have five Beacon units and we can use our streaming services everywhere in the house. We do have occasional momentary freeze-ups, but cannot say whether it's our internet provider, the Beacons, or the streaming services creating them because they aren't very frequent and usually don't last long enough to warrant any deep troubleshooting. But I can say that we had a lot of internet issues over the years with single-point routers (before we did streaming), and those problems have almost entirely gone away since switching to the EERO system.

I am a techie, and pretty competent in creating solid networks within my home...keeping them stable, robust and secure. Our neighborhood recently had FIOS installed, and as part of the package, the provider included a couple of eero routers. I was absolutely amazed at the ease of install and both the speed and reach of the signal. Really outstanding. Amazingly outstanding. I purchased this extender to toss our signal far outside our home for a couple of security cams I've been wanting to place. The signal is strong and everything is flawless. The eero system is magic.

Works reasonably well at extending wifi range. The setup was easy and straightforward. However, this is not a durable or robust product -- mine died within a year of purchase. Thankfully the warranty covered a replacement and the support team was able to handle the return process efficiently.

I added this beacon to my already set up eero 6+ and it works seamlessly! Very easy to install and excellent coverage and speed to all devices in the house! Around 80 devices

Had a customer that wanted to expand their eero network, but didn’t want a cord and router sitting on a table. These worked great. Even though they are only dual-band, their range and speed is very good and works seamlessly with their eero system.

My home was built with concrete walls and internet is difficult to push the WiFi signal through those walls even with additional Eero routers throughout. This was a beautiful addition to my current system without the addition or hassle of added wiring. My outdoor ring cameras can now connect without issue as well. This is a great choice if you currently have an Eero hub (or more) and still need some added coverage without any hassles. Easy to connect and setup with current system. Glad I made this purchase.

I have set this up into very large homes… a 5000+ sf rancher with a two bedroom cottage about a 100' away, and a 6000+ sf sprawling 2 story with a central patio. In both cases we had fast Wi-Fi, but it did not reach many of the rooms in either home, and the cottage and patio were a no go zone. Presto Chango! A quick set up of the eero mesh system was a life changer. I recently moved my sewing room to the other end of the house where my son had been hard wired in, and was having trouble streaming. I purchased another beacon, and in under 60 seconds the streaming issues were resolved. I'm no tech genius... but this was pretty much plug and play. We now have a great signal everywhere on both properties. Woot!
