Craycort4 Grillers Joy Smokey Griddle

This is such a wonderful upgrade to my little grill. The solid side makes the most incredible smashed-flat hamburger patties. You get all the crunchy, Shake Shack-style meatiness of the burger with the full charcoal-grilled flavor. Slap a thick slice of cheddar cheese between two of those patties and mmmmm boy you're talking a great summer cookout. The ribbed side produces great hashmarks on a chicken breast. Looks professional and tastes great! Plus the design allows you to use it on a super-hot grill without burning the meat, onions, veg or whatever you want to cook quickly.The one thing I would say, having owned two of these now, is that it's super important to clean and season this right out of the box. I washed it well with warm soapy water, rubbed it liberally with canola on all sides (don't forget the outer rim, too) and then baked it on a sheet pan in a 375-degree oven for an hour. Do this first thing out of the box, and then remember to season it again with a thin skim of canola oil after each use. I didn't season my first grill plate and it rusted like the dickens.

This griddle is perfect for grilling up eggs or bacon or veggies on a Weber Smokey Joe Gold. I've got the $25 charcoal grill and I couldn't be happier with the $100 investment I put into Craycort Cast Iron set. It heats evenly and is a pleasure to grill with. I recommend getting this Smokey Griddle in addition to the required Craycort Cast Iron Grate. While you're at it, get the cast iron Lifting Handle too, it's worth it. Very solid little piece of cast iron. Fits into one side of the Craycort Iron Grate. Delivered on time. Really recommend getting the "Lifting Handle for Craycort Cast Iron Grate." It makes for easy handling of this griddle.
