It paid for itself in TWO MONTHS. TWO MONTHS !!!
I was paying $14 a month to Xfinity. This paid for itself in two months. It's refurbished so technical support is not available unless you purchase it from ARRIS for $39. I did not need it. There are dozens of videos on YouTube that will answer ANY questions you have about it. Unless you love cable companies and just want to give them some extra money, you need this.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
Would not activate on comcast. Could not connect to Wi-Fi. Could not factory reset. Had to pay a comcast tech to come out to tell me that this modem was just not working any more. Had to rent a modem from comcast. If I could give them a zero I would.

Easy set-up on Optimum
Quick call to Optimum and the device was ready to go. Very compact. Would be good to have a base so it can stand a few inches off the ground.
