Good teaching tool for college teaching assistant.

This is a good product. The molecules are not on the same system as the kits at my school so it gets confusing and the lid doesn’t fully close. Other than that it’s pretty good it’s good to visualize molecular shapes. The only thing I would say is make sure if you buy it your school has the same ones because the molecules are not 100% identical between the 2 kits for me.

Great price! The same product my school was requiring we buy, but only half the cost and just as sturdy. Parts stayed together firmly but were not impossible to get apart. The little tool for separating the single-bonds was not as intrusive or cumbersome as I had thought it might be. It was a very valuable tool. My 6-year old loved joining me to make molecules. I have been mentioning elements for a few years, just casually, like the ones in the air and in water. So it was neat to see her bring those elements together and make a molecule. I even got to show her how we breathe in O2 and out comes CO2. Of course, the kit was valuable for me, too, for trying to understand organic chemistry. Chair configurations and all.

The model is made with really good materials. The atoms are firm, and the connector are strong with suitable flexibility. It is easy to use them to build molecules and the molecules built from them have suitable rigidity. I am an organic chemistry student and tutor. By building a model, it really helps to understand concepts such as tetrahedron, chair confirmation, equatorial and axial positions, hybridization and the repulsion between 1,3 axial positions, and many others. Keep the plastic bag it comes in as unless you pack everything in correctly it will burst open. A rubber band is very helpful.

The thing I like the most about this kit is the quality. It is extremely well made. All the parts are vibrantly colored and fit together very well. I can not list any short comings. I am very satisfied.
