What the heck's a LED?
I'm not sure what an LED is, but based on this purchase it should stand for Life Elevating Decision considering it was nothing short of life changing! Not only did it improve my marriage, elevate my fitness, I directly attribute my promotion at work to it! Why you ask? Well, let me tell you.First, being an inconsiderate buffoon, I was constantly annoying my wife with my unromantic overtures...when she asked what I planned for our anniversary, I was like "Duhhh..Krall was thinking Netflix and snu snu????" That did not go over well! As a highly adaptable Hominidae with functioning opposable thumbs, I took action by installing some of these lights around our dining area. At the next opportunity, I set out some pasta (preferably a delicate pasta in a cream reduction sauce), popped open a bottle of Côtes du Rhône, queue up some Barry White...then the coup de grace, selection of appropriate lighting (I suggest the "passion red" setting)...BAM! Now she can't get enough of my love, baby!Secondly, any pleb is aware that blue light is shown to interfere with melatonin production; as a result it wrecks up our natural circadian rhythms and we get lousy sleep (I'm a wolf chronotype in case you were wondering). A bit before bedtime, I simply set the light with a heavy hand towards the red spectrum and gradually dim it as the inexorable flow of time draws me into the void of the abyss...by god, sleep has never been so sweet! My mornings come easy, my mood is good, my days are brighter! I've even noticed that I am humming through my newly introduced A.M. workouts!Lastly, we've been encountering occurrences of servers overheating at work and of course my boss tasked me with getting to the bottom of the issue. Well, after taking into account the outdated server room and barely adequate cooling, I was in the middle of writing up proposals for a complete retrofit of the HVAC when I noticed we were still using a BUNCH of 250w incandescent flood lamps! Well, I added a few of these strips (which produce next to no heat), and it's been smooth sailing since. It's a hack (sorry, "work-around") you say? Wouldn't one extra blade server tip the delicate balance of machine and environment you ask? Why yes, it will! But that's future self's problem, along with the $75k budget ask!In short, get these lights. In fact, get a 10 strip! (Of the lights!!)

You Get What You Pay For
These are basically junk. They last a short time and then burn out. The colors are pretty if you just want them for holiday decoration or a party or some other short term application. Other than that, do not waste your money. Unfortunately, good quality led strip lights will cost you a few hundred dollars if you intend to install them in your home or or business for any serious application where there are frequently used.
