I have two outdoor hanging baskets which I line with coconut liners and boy, the soil drys out fast due to the air circulation. I use one or even two in each hanging pot to help with the water evaporation. I will never be without these liners! I have backup in my shed as we speak!

If you use coca liners in your hanging basket these are a must.

I hated it when I watered my hanging baskets, and it seemed like most of the water ran right through the coco liners. So wasteful! I tried these this summer, and though there is some run-out, it is much reduced. And the baskets do not need daily watering like they used to. These mats seem to work best if you do not let them dry out. I will definitely keep using these, they are such a good buy.

The mats seemed very thin to me. Even after getting wet. They were very easy to put in the planters ( hanging baskets). I think they did help keep my flowers a little moister, however, I still had to water at least every day or the flowers would start to wilt. I might try putting 2 in each basket next time.

Must have for hanging baskets in full sun! In the past my hanging baskets of million bells have lasted maybe a month before they get leggy and unsightly. This year I made my own hanging baskets and put this in and my million bells are still going strong more than 5 months later.

I have used these in the past in hanging baskets! They really do work!! I was able to water less frequently and my flowers stayed healthier even in upper 90's temperatures!

I have large wire basket type window boxes with the coconut liners .. I use miracle grow soil and fertilize with miracle grow. This past season, my baskets performed better than previous years .. same flowers wave petunias .. I water planters before I go to work and again when I return from work if its a really hot sunny day. Somedays the flowers need that that refresh sooner than when I got home. With the addition of these water holding gel pads I found it bought me an extra 2 or 3 hours before the dreaded heat wilt. My best planter show year thus far since using these great helpers. Highly recommend. Your flowers will thank you and your neighbors will love what you bring to the community.

These are awesome to put in the bottom of planters in the summer. They hold extra water, reducing the occasional wilt that planters are prone to on those hot summer days.

I have to water my hanging baskets much less often. I am astonished. I wouldn't use with veggies.. It's toxic.
