Easy install, makes aftermarket add-ons a breeze
Adding a subwoofer to the stock Bose system in my 2015 Yukon Denali was a nightmare. Tap off the factory sub lead with my JL amp high level input, and I had muddy bass and horrible engine noise. I tried everything to eliminate the ground loop to no avail. I gave this a try as a last ditch resort before pulling it all out and living with factory sound.About a half hour install to pull the dash apart and run a new RCA and remote (amp was already in). Now I have clean bass matched to the factory system and the engine noise is clean. I didn’t use the additional volume knob as I had already installed the boost knob that came with the amp.Sounds great and works flawlessly with the factory radio. No issues to date like the other reviewers have mentioned. I will update if any issues come up.

In the review...
Function wise this seems to work great and by most accounts way better than the original one, but there are underlying things with it. I have a very high end system in my 2018 Canyon Denali. My collusion and side of road alerts are now only a very low beep instead of that annoying loud de-de-de that it was. Even with the music off it is hard to hear so you really need those annoying beeps. But the biggest issue is that it just shuts off randomly while driving or even upon starting the truck—no sounds of any type. Imagine pulling the fuse from your main power line in your amp. The radio shows the music is playing but no sound. It is as easy to fix as turning the truck off and letting the power fully go out. This takes a minute and is quite embarrassing if you're showing your system to people. Maybe these are both simple fixes but so far, trying to get help has been unsuccessful. The other issue is that I can’t just send it back for a replacement because it gets installed in my dash snd they know it, so a warranty claim is almost a joke.

Works pretty well
So far it is working pretty well in my 2017 Silverado with Bose. I have a little bit of white noise but as soon as you turn the volume up, you don't hear it. Chime volume adjust and minimum volume setting is really nice. Only issue I have found is that the remote wire doesn't seem to turn off which keeps my amps on. They seem to turn off for a split second and then come back on. Waited 10 min with the doors closed and locked and they never turned off. Also keeps the lights on the steering wheel controls turned on. Seems like power is feeding back somehow. Moved my remote wire back to a switched 12v and everything works as it should. Sent an email to PAC but haven't heard back yet. Came with the most current V12 firmware so no update to fix the issue. Overall pretty satisfied to finally ditch the Bose.

Absolute junk
This device does not work. I’m not getting sound output. The rca cables crumbled in my hand. I’m pretty slick when it comes to sound so don’t think I’m talking out my butt. I called my local JL dealer on FaceTime and he told me to toss it and he’s had nothing but problems out of these devices. I got one for $20 from him. Don’t waste your money! Too late for me to get a refund so I’m just stuck with it.

Not fit to malibu 2020
Bought for a 2020 Malibu. But attached harness doesn't seem to fit. I checked the HMI and it seems to be a 29 pin. What kind of harness do I need to install?
