31.5“ Full Tang Dragon Tiger Sword High Carbon Steel Katana, Sharp Hadfield Steel,Chinese Handmade Samurai Knife

First the good, the sword has a nice weight to it and the sheath is solidly constructed.Now the not so good, the blade had divots and chips out of it when it arrived. It was also covered in a petroleum jelly like substance that was caked around the handle. There was dirt and other debris stuck to the blade because of this.The “brocade” box the sword comes in was also broken and poorly constructed as you can see in the pictures above. I will be returning the sword and looking for another seller to buy from.

This is one heavy little meat-clever of a sword. The top of the blade next to the hilt is 1/4 inch thick. It is heavier than I had considered, especially when you are striking with it, as all the weight is past the end of your arm. If it was well sharpened, you could probably cut down a small tree with it, especially if the tang is full length. I would not want someone coming after me with this. If you are more familiar with European style swords, this would be very similar to a falchion, a close range chopping sword. I would have been happier if the metal fittings were smooth instead of so decorative, but that is just me. The scabbard fits the sword well. It even comes in a light-weight decorative box that has two latches to keep it closed. This sword is well worth the price I paid. I would rate it 4.5 if I could.
