NEUMI Atom 4K Ultra-HD Digital Media Player for USB Drives and SD Cards - with HDMI and Analog AV, Automatic Playback and Looping Capability

I expected the worst with this but it has amazed me! I didn't even bother to read the instructions and I plugged a 900GB Samsung SSD drive into it and connected it to my Samsung TV and turned it on and it came on after my TV searched for it and pefect picture. I have tons of old movies and TV programs from way back in the past and this plays almost all of them and it's like VLC player for my TV and ROCK ON! Just remember to select "MOVIES" on the main screen if you want to watch a movie because if you select a photo or music it will not play them. So make sure you select VIDEOS or PHOTOS or MUSIC first. The remote control is comfortable and very easy to use. There are no batteries for the remote control and no HDMI cable but that was Ok with me. The ONLY bad thing with this is the Adaptor and it has a 2 flat pinned plug with it and they are dangerous and a fire hazard and no way I will leave that ON when not in use. The adaptor that it arrives with is : AC/DC adaptor 60 hz 0.4 amps 5V 2000mA I am now using a spare 3 pinned 5V 2 Amp Adaptor I already had and it works great and is safe I am VERY pleased with this so far and amazed it plays all those ancient files I have. WELL DONE neumi ! (so far)

My collection of videos, photos and music on an external hard drive going back many CODECS (decades) would not all play on my LG smart TV. I played them plugged into an ACE PC attached to the LG after buying the ACE PC in October 2020. Sadly, it died this month (March 2024) with no HDMI output - an apparently common fault. This little NEUMI atom 4K media player has stepped up to media player duties on my extensive mix of CODECS with aplomb. Amazingly, the ancient photos rescued from slides going back to the 1970s, videos to the 1990s, HD and 4K recent videos have been played better than ever seen before. the SLR-based old photos look like 4K on the LG TV. The 4K videos play smoothly and impressively. Viewed on a large projector screen the HD and 4K videos are impressive. The device does get hot after a few hours; I rest it on a thick metal plate; also the easy-to-set-up and use remote works only if pointed at a fairly narrow angle to the device.

This was a purchase i'd looked forward to as it offered a solution to how to play Atmos MKV files on my system. Sadly, this particular unit wouldn't power up, using either the power supply it came with or the more robust UK-plug version I'd bought specially (along with a big micro SD card). Completely dead. So I had to return it. I want to get another one, but am wary of getting the exact same faulty one back again - they're not common on Amazon, particularly at that price. The refund happened smoothly but the seller didn't engage in communication whatsoever, despite my request for a replacement unit in preference to getting my money back.

Non UK power supply , tried adapter and didnt work. Much better ones cheaper available

I am sure this is a very good product, but as it did not come with a power cable/lead I suppose I'm just going to have to get my own to find out.

When it works, this seems a good product. It plays excellent video. Unfortunately, it very rarely works. When it goes wrong (which is very frequently) the unit simply does not respond to the remote control and the remote control is the only way to operate it. The remote seems to produces a signal (a pinkish light is visible from the sender when viewed though a phone camera) but the video player does nothing. Then (if you are patient enough) and keep pressing the buttons, it might suddenly work. I wish I had not bought it. It's a waste of money.

Supplied with a non UK power adapter which will not plug into a UK mains socket. Should not be sold here. One to avoid.

Maybe I just had a bad one but mine didn't work. Returned.

Cons: when powered up, it doesn't turn on your receiver and/or TV automatically. I did try different cables and a firmware update. Pros: it has played every video in every format with great picture quality and sound (set to pass-through) as well as recognized and listed every subtitle available. Tip: it takes a LONG time for firmware to install, don't turn it off, just wait.

Smooth playback for 4k mkv movies and mp3 files. Picture quality seems better and audio strength, especially surround, stronger than my andriod media box. The kind of media player I've been looking for.

Hasta ahorita está trabajando muy bien, los archivos h.265 no ha habido problemas, me falta reproducir videos 4k, pero viendo su desempeño creo que no tendrá complicación alguna

We have multiple TV displays throughout our office. The Neumi 4K has made our lives so much easier for displaying graphics. The units work predictably and very easy to set up and use. Very intuitive. We use Canva to make the video graphics and then transfer to a USB drive and it works great. Thanks

Ce lecteur ATOM 4K ne permet la lecture fluide des fichiers 4 k quand les images du film vidéo évoluent dans les zooms et traveling de la caméra à vitesse pourtant convenable. ( la lecture avec la clé USB directement connectée sur l'entrée USB TV Sony Oled KD55AG8 marche bien)
