Works great with additional weight on the trigger.
Photos are of 2 separate mice. They got in the Easter Baskets in my closet and ate the Cadbury eggs and stole all the small chocolate wrapped eggs and hid them all over my bedroom. We had a true egg hunt 2 days before Easter finding about 30 German Chocolate eggs under the dressers and night stands.Review - Overall this product worked great ONCE we figured out we needed to add a little weight to the trigger plate. The mice were just too light to trigger the device. We simply added a stack of weights (3 button magnets or a stack of coins) taped to the very end of the trigger plate near the food and we had a 100% success rate after that.Night 1 - All the food they could reach was eaten but the traps didn't go off. One of the mice was full grown and fattened on Easter chocolate, so the trap was just not sensitive enough.Night 2 - Weighted the traps so that they would go off with the slightest added weight and we cought a mouse before midnight. It woke me up noisily trying escape. We released it into a large country field the next morning.Day 2 - Cought one in a dark closet in just a few hours. Took it out to a large wooded area. So, if you are willing to spend a few minutes figuring out the right amount of weight to add so that it trips easily, this is totally worth the $6.99 for 2 trap cost.

It works
I had some trouble getting the bait holder off, I almost gave up...but I was able to pry it open with a nail file... directions say push in, but it's VERY tight. But once I got it off and put the bait in it worked great... The directions say to let the mouse out by opening the bait door again but since it was so tight I didn't bother trying I just pushed the. Spring load door back... And set it on the ground so It could run out. I gave it four stars because it worked fine even though it was not as easy as described.

Damn Mice. This is the second house I have used these in. They work great but you have to remember to check them daily or else the mice will die.

Way too tight - not an effective mouse trap out of the box
I have had success with these types of traps in the past. This particular pair that I bought are just not good. #1 the bait door was way to snug and was almost impossible to pull out. #2 way too much weight is required to trigger the trap door. Either the spring used was too firm or the latch is too big/gripping or both. I have had the traps out for a week and have only come back to find mouse poops both inside and around the trap. No mice caught. Testing with finger, I conclude that only an obese Gus-Gus of a mouse has any chance of ever tripping the trap door in it's out of the box condition. This leaves me to having to consider adding some weights to the platform, which is way more fuss than any prior traps required. If this is what we have to do for a lower cost trap, I'd just assume use a higher cost version. I can't recommend this.

The bait door is so hard to open
I tried to push and slide for about 10 minutes! It took taking a slim knife to hold a side and then push and slide the door open. Kinda frustrated since now when I catch the critter, You are supposed to let it free by opening the same bait door. I would not purchase this again. Look for something else.

Bait door opens easily if you push it in while sliding up!
Works great - caught 2 mice already and was able to let them go!I actually had issues in the beginning with opening the bait door. It was impossible to open and I actually had to let the mice go from the entrance, so that wasn't fun. But I realized if you just push the bait door in while sliding it up, the door will easily open.

Easy to use but not enough vent holes.
Easy to use and clean. They seem to work well but there is no vent holes.I have a few others and there were vent holes on the top as well as the back. They work good, you just have to release asap.

It works!!!
Wow! I can't believe how easy, quick, and effective these were! I put these under the sink and within hours my little friends were in the traps. I took them to a field and let them go. I felt SO much better about not killing them or using chemicals.
