Another good knife from Victorinox
Another great knife from Victorinox. I usually don't pay much attention to bread knives but this one is great for cutting fresh baked bread.

Another great Victorinox
A great bread and pastry knife. It has a curve to the blade to keep your knuckles off the board and it’s a little bit better balanced than an offset knife. I have both an offset and I prefer this curved version. Dexter Russell and Mercer also make good bread knives but I like the Victorinox handle and balance better, it’s overall more comfortable and intuitive!! The handles on the Victorinox classics are great in hand. The knives are not fancy but they are very utilitarian. Victorinox puts their effort into the edge of these simple knives and they are worth the price!! I like the idea of having fancier knives but I have been totally content with this brand. Easy to use and maintain, durable as long as you treat them right (don’t throw into the sink or use the dishwasher).

Wonderful Knife for Straight and Even Bread Slices
I finally decided to replace my Cutco bread knife and I'm so glad I did! This knife is a dream to use, so easy and really keeps my slices very straight and even unlike the Cutco did. I'm going to get one or two more of these to keep as backups should this one become dull.

Very sharp, and nice size to slice up a roast or a loaf of bread, sharp and grabby enough for tomatoes. Would purchase this again.

Nice little bread knife
I now have all 4 types of Victorinox bread knives and love them all! This knife is the shortest of the round-tipped variety at a little more than 8 inches; the blade length of all the others of this round-tipped style are over 10 inches. Although this knife is shorter, it will not fit in the medium slots in Victorinox's knife block because the blade is slightly too high and curved--it fits in one of the bigger slots though. Use a different knife with a low blade height for loaves with extra thick crusts. This one is perfect for cutting cakes, delicate crumb breads, other soft breads, store-bought french bread, and stacked grilled cheese sandwiches. I love this knife!

購入時に刃渡りがちよっと長めかなと心配しましたが、実際使ってみるとちょうどいい長さで使い勝手も大変良かったです。以前持っていたパン切包丁はギザ刃部分がけっこうトゲトゲ状態で、洗って布巾でふき取る時に綿の糸が引っかかったりするなど、ふき取りがけっこう面倒でした。こちらの製品はそういうことは全く心配なかったです。長い状態の角食パンも軽い力加減でサクッとカットが出来、カットした断面もとてもきれいです。初めてパン切包丁を使う方にも超おススメです!

Bought this for work (I’m a professional chef), and it’s quickly become a staple in my knife kit. Despite being labelled a pastry knife, it’s far more versatile than that. It handles cooked meats and bread brilliantly—the wavy edge gives a cleaner cut than most carving knives, with less tearing and better control. In my opinion, it outperforms many traditional carving knives, especially for plating. I used to work in a 2 Rosette hotel kitchen where this exact style of knife was the go-to for finishing and service.
