Be careful if on HRT
I feel that companies that sell dietary supplements/herbs need to have a Duty of care to their customers. I checked the Bitterliebe website for any warnings etc for any interactions with medications and couldn't see anything of concern. However my personal experience may be of help to any future customers - if on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) this product may be best avoided. I only used this product for two days, and only one drop each day as the taste was awful. I had prepared myself for the taste and thought I should hopefully get used to it and increase the drops over time. However on the second night I woke up at 2am shaky, feeling nauseous, dizzy - I felt so sick and similar feeling to when your blood sugar levels drop. This supplement was the only new product I had added and when I did more research realised it may not be suitable to take with HRT. I do wonder if it would even be suitable for diabetics? It mentions that bitters drops is good for gut health, but I have had adverse reactions in that area too. I have emailed Bitterliebe. So far on the chat service, they re-direct you to ask your Dr/GP if suitable, however we all know that this is not really a realistic, feasible option during Covid times to be asking your Dr for every supplement you hope to add. I wish companies were diligent in ensuring customers are able to buy their product with full confidence - but sadly it is often about the money and not about care.
