A definitive timeline of Star Wars home viewing releases.
As an avid collector of Star Wars UK based home video I couldn't wait to get my hands on these three volumes, and they do not disappoint.I bought the first edition, which was great for it's time however there was an obvious focus on the US market, because it was written for that market by Nathan P. Butler as a US writer. This second edition is rightly US focused again, but gives far more inclusion to the UK and other foreign markets and provides fantasic context for the product releases and differences between the regions. The sidebards throughout the books illustrate and detail various worldwide releases and, for the UK, does provide a full timeline of releases along side the core US editions.Sometimes I'll read entire sections, sometimes I'll dip in an out... either way they are always fully engaing. And the writer is totally knowledgable about the subject. If you're a Star Wars home video collector I feel this are essential and invaluable.I bought all three volumes, but as the focus of each volume is of particular areas i.e. The Live Action films from '77 to '2015 for v.1, the Disney eara for v.2 and the spin off/animation material for v.3... you can pick and chose your volume of interest, if not all three.Highly recommended.

May The Force Be With You Nathen P. Butler
This book covers the first 6 episodes of The Star Wars Skywalker Saga (The Phantom Menace, Attack Of The Clone, Revenge Of The Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi) on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray really well. The pictures are really nice and colourful and it also showcases the UK releases of the films as I remembered them when I was a British kid.
