Atomic BC1 BCD, Red

Bulky. Poor buoyancy control. Third party seller. Sucks. Beware of that fact. Had to replace with atomic bc2 at local shop. Only buy this type of item from your local shop

This BC was a game changer for me. The features, comfort, reliability, durability, engineering, customer service and warranty that come with an Atomic product is as good as it gets. I have no concerns or complaints when it comes to trusting my life with this BC or my Atomic regulators. They focus on every detail on their products, even the weight system featured on this is on a level of its own. Some companies have tried to replicate what Atomic has done, but none come close in my opinion. The price point is often the only complaint I hear from people thinking about buying one and I know it might seem like a lot to spend but I promise you if plan on diving a lot like I do, you’ll end up spending at least this much if not more on lower quality products that will continue to fall apart or fail on you routinely throughout your diving experiences.

Upon jumping from my plane I was having the most joyful moments of my life, crossing the biggest goal off of my bucket list… sky diving. I felt so free as I was falling only to deploy my parachute and it not open. I also had a reserve chute to which it also didn’t open. I’m currently in the hospital but luckily I landed on a Chevy cavalier.. of all things. Anyways, do consider which cord is the deploy, apparently I was only tightening the chute, not pulling the deployment cable.

Really nice jacket style BCD, lots of space and D-rings to put the accessories. The tank-strap is really steady and easy to use. The down sides are the price and the weight. This price without power inflator is almost twice of the price comparing with the most expensive ones from other tier A brands. Because of the material of the jacket, the weights is something you have to consider when you are going to dive overseas with airline luggage limitation. But this is still a really nice BCD. I am still happy to have one.

Love this BCD! So grateful to Scuba Now for training me in this BCD! I feel absolutely comfortable when diving! Can’t wait to dive more with it on!
