When operating a paint machine the last thing you need is a disruption on your progress. Having this around will aloud you to swap the head and continue your project instead of having to stop to clean it. Keep working, clean later, have a few of this around.

excellent product worked flawlessly

I opened the package , put the tip together and proceeded to spray 10 gallons of exterior latex. For the most part, it went well. I did , however, have some tip clogs that were annoying. The kind that you have to remove the tip and physically clean it to clear it. This tip is called a 517 which is correct for latex paint. I have another, older tip called a 517 which almost never clogs which makes me think that the new tip is on the small size. If you're going to paint latex exterior I would suggest a larger size tip, maybe 519 or 521 or somewhere in that range. The price and quality of this tip are good.
