FitFlops seem to be moving away from their original awesome soles
This is a sad review for me today. FitFlops are the only flip flops I've been able to wear in my entire adult life. I started buying them when the Walkstar was the model that they advertised as giving you improved tone in your tushy and legs. It didn't do much for me in that department, but it did give me the freedom to wear sandals, because until then, I was confined to shoes that let me wear the orthotics that my poor, terrible feet demanded. Something about the different zones of cushiness in the footbed acts like custom orthotics, and I can walk a far sight longer in these than in any other shoe without orthotics.I still have that first pair of Walkstars, although they long ago broke down to the point that they are no longer comfortable. I've had 6 other pairs since, and have learned that FitFlops have many different footbeds now, and only the original footbed works for me. Every other one I've tried has been narrower and shorter and just hasn't worked. So when I shop for FitFlops, I look at all the pictures and compare the footbeds to the pair on my feet. From the side, front and back, the Rokkit and certain versions of the Lulu both looked like they fit the bill. I also found a customer picture that showed the footbed from the top, and it matched my current FitFlops exactly, so I ordered a pair of Rokkits and a pair of Lulus in size US 9. I got them today, and the footbed is different (see photo, newest pair on right). It is harder, shorter and narrower, and has no padded area around the toe piece. To top it off, the Lulu pair was in a box from a different brand that had no internal packaging, so the shoes arrived all smushed and used looking.I've looked at the FitFlops website, and it looks like they are moving farther away from the original sole, so I'm going to try the Rokkits in the next size up on the hope that they will work for me. If they don't, I've got life left in one remaining pair, and when they are gone, my sandal days may be over.

Astonishingly supportive - good for high arches, wide feet and delicate plantar fascia tendons!
My first pair of Fitflops was purchased at a DSW I dropped by when I found myself in the area. I have foot problems, and the sandals I had bought pre-problem were not sufficient to support walking about - at museums, parks, etc. - on my days off. I needed something different.History on my foot problems. I have always had wide feet with high arches. Over the years I went from trying to wear the popular shoes to wearing the shoes which didn't mash my square feet (my boyfriend calls them my little potatoes) or cause my high arches to strain. Though up until recently, I would occasionally pick up a pair that wasn't so supportive, that I would just wear "at the office" or something.About six months ago I smashed the top of my foot so bad that I tendon was dislocated around some of my foot bones. It hurt so bad we did x-rays to confirm there was no breakage. Until it went back in place (thanks to a Rubz green massage ball btw!) my tendon pulled tighter and tighter, though I had stayed off it save to go to the bathroom for a whopping two weeks, with ice/heat therapy, stretches, etc. Although I was good to my foot, and it healed relatively quickly all considered, my foot still shows residual signs of that injury. Shoes that had been supportive/comfortable enough for long-term wearings now don't cut it. Not only have I moved to Danskos, ABEOs, some orthopedic supports, etc. - Some of those same brands have styles which I now can't wear. I have a couple pairs of ABEO sandals I adored, but I went to the museum the other day and a couple hours of walking had my bad foot cramped up in pretty severe pain.Because I had an issue with The Walking Company - an expensive company that carries a wide range of great shoes - where they back-and-forthed me over the course of 6 months - probably 8-12 emails - over my rewards points, refused to let me speak to a manager, had to contact the BBB before I was allowed to talk to a supervisor only to be told the 2000 reward points I had been waiting to redeem for 6 months was a "bug" and I wouldn't ever get them, and they would give me 500 points to say "sorry our CS rep ignored you and didn't see the problem she has the ability to look into for 6 months and was rude, didn't do her job or escalate your email to someone who would", but... I decided I don't want to deal with a company I need to contact the BBB in order to get help with my account when I've spent a thousand bucks on their products. Amazon has *always* been responsive and has *always* made wrong things right. When it came time to get more of these shoes I found were great - I decided to do Amazon. I won't shop at Walking Company again, upon principle.Sorry for the sort-of-tangent, but it's the flat out truth, and if you buy *these* shoes it is possible you would consider comfort shoes from Walking Company. All I have to say is: The shoes, the in-store support - great! The online/phone support for when *anything* goes wrong is inconceivably atrocious. As a person who has worked closely with the public in various CS type roles - I don't say the above lightly. I am fairly well-informed as to how the CS system ought to work, and as I have been in their shoes I am very polite to CS as a rule. So, back to the point, I love these sandals! Here is why:1. Supportive: Even though when you look across the footbed, you won't see a pronounced arch pad, there is an amazing amount of support. It's possible the location of the side strap is offering some of the arch support, but I think part of it might be the unique smooshiness of the footbed.2. Comfortable: The footbed is some amazing creation which truly absorbs shock and cradles the unique shape of your foot. The heel is a bit more stiff, the arch a little less and the ball of the foot area gives quite a lot if you press into it with your finger. That said, I've worn shoes which feel more smooshy in the footbed, and while those are initially more "comfortable", these shoes are superior for long term comfort. I believe the unique flexing, the varying comfort zones, allows the sole to provide comfort and a real ergonomic and functional support.3. Long-term Wearability: Typically, if I am pavement pounding for any significant length of time, I feel it. To mitigate this I have worn good shoes and in some cases, where I may be on my feet all day, I've donned compression socks to avoid painful swelling. Astonishingly to me I've been able to wear these FLIP FLOP SANDALS for hours and not feel the effects of walking on hard surfaces whatsoever! This sort of blows my mind. In fact, after going to the San Diego Safari Park the other day, my boyfriend remarked that he was glad to be wearing his compression socks, and I just thought to myself, "Hmm, I hadn't even thought about my feet. They don't hurt a teeny tiny bit..." Later that evening, he asked me if I wanted an Aleve, as I often need one after a long walking day (since my injury 6 months ago in particular), but I thought about it and realized I still didn't feel my feet aching, nor my knees or hips.I attribute the lack of pain in my feet and joints to the intelligent engineering of the Fitflop shoe. When I got home, I got online and searched Amazon for some new colors (my first Fitflop is a really pretty peach with rhinestones) and purchased two pairs. One identical to the first pair (a Rokkit thing) and one in a slide version of the Rokkit. I am donating more of my old shoes, since these Fitflops truly outperform even the super-expensive Walking Company exclusive ABEO sandals I got early last year. For reference: I've had these a couple months and have had yet to lose a rhinestone, though I worry it will happen someday soon. I have somewhat wide feet, and these work great in their "normal" width. I usually wear a 7.5 US, or 38 in Euro sizing, and I find the 7 US to fit fantastically in both length and width. In terms of break-in period, I had none. I put these on at the DSW, and found them comfy. I wore them home and they haven't rubbed in a single spot on my feet from the day I got them, though as all feet are shaped differently, your experience may vary! But for me, I know sometimes I will feel rubbing where the thong connects between the toes, and with these there was none from day one. The sueded material is soft, lightly padded and on my foot it is not too tight as to rub or too loose as to flop about and then catch in an awkward way. Nor has this suedelike material stretched out significantly to change the way it fit - perfectly fit - from day one.Bottom Line: Highly, *highly* recommended. I had recent plantar fascia tendon damage and these flip flops are like a dream come true on my feet. They make me forget I am wearing them, or that I am even walking. I added a couple photos to this review, but I will have to come back to be sure they post. I've had a ton of trouble with review photos not posting on first (sometimes second or third) attempts lately. So pardon the annoyance of the photos NOT being here, if they aren't! ;-) Also, I have worn the shoes for a couple months now, but will be sure to reply with long-term thoughts as well as let you all know if there is something that goes wrong. Hope this review has helped and good luck with your feets!UPDATE 04/07/2016: I got the black Rokkit thong sandal yesterday afternoon, and wore it that night to work. It fits just like the first (peach) pair and I love it! Also, though you can still see the rhinestones, the black on black makes the look a teeny bit more subtle than the peach pair, though they still have a snazzy, fun sparkle. Definitely a huge fan of these shoes! :-)UPDATE 05/31/2016: I wear these sandals all the time. They are comfy enough to walk around all day on my day off - no arch support issues, no rubbing at the thong between the toes or along the top of the foot by the straps. The rhinestones have even held up well. I lost ONE stone on the black pair that I wear non-stop. It's actually really hard to see since the spot left a sparkly bit of glue which looks like the shine of the other rhinestones. I plan to look for a replacement stone, but am in no hurry since it's not noticeable at all. For something I wear so often, and which I am not super-duper careful with - although I am certainly not rough-housing in them - they are holding up impressively well and I highly recommend you try this shoe! I know I will be getting more whenever I need to. :-)UPDATE 08/09/2016: I live in this sandal. The black is my goto, as I wear it at work (very casual work environs where this is probably considered somewhat dressed up!) and I can't bring myself to wear most any of my other shoes when I know I can slip right into my comfy fitflops. Now I've tried some other styles - the Gladdie which is cute but not as comfy and the slide Rokkit which actually cut into my foot at the top strap of the slide - but I keep coming back to this precise style. I now picked up another in Nude. They are so great for me that I am probably going to grab a couple more to keep aside for when these "die" and need to be replaced, just to be certain they aren't out of stock or production. That is how much I love them!

Comfortable
About 5 or 6 years ago I bought my first pair of Fit Flops at DSW. I bought them to use as slippers, and I needed something with support and comfort since I had plantars fasciitis in my right foot. The Fit Flops I bought were perfect and I'm still using them. But I can tell that the post between the toes is about to break on the right shoe, so I bought these new ones to use as slippers to replace my current ones when they break. So this pair feels a bit different. The sole also seems to be made different. The sole doesn't seem to have as much cushion or spring to it. It seems a bit hard compared to my first pair of Fit Flops. But I just got these in the mail today, so maybe because the package was sitting out in the cold that it affected the shoes. I don't know. Maybe with a little time they will soften a bit.The first picture shows the new Fit Flops. I'm a 7 or 7 1/2, and the size 7 always fits perfect. The second picture compares the foot bed of my original Fit Flop to the one I got today. The shoe on the left is the older one, and the shoe on the right is the new one. So you can see the difference in the foot bed design. The third picture shows my new pair of Fit Flops, and the fourth picture shows my older ones. I'll most likely keep the new ones since I don't think they'll harm my feet. I just wish they had a little more cushion like the original pair.Edit: The pictures keep getting mixed around after I post my reviews. But I just edited my text, so I think everything makes sense now. I've been using these for a couple of days and they are feeling better. As I mentioned, I just use these in my home as slippers.

Complete disappointment. Totally unwearable. Rub like crazy (and yet they are the same style/size as my old pair)
I bought these to replace a pair exactly the same that I loved and had worn continually for 5 years - they were so comfortable (from day1). I walked for miles in them around Mexico in 2015.I thought it was time to replace them (as they were very worn looking - although still very comfy) and had been so happy with them I bought these (exactly the same style and size) for our dream holiday in Central America. The first day I wore them I had blisters between my toes where the bar rubbed like crazy. They are badly finished - the upper/material is poorly finished and lumpy where it joins the bar and there is no avoiding the rubbing and the blisters. I let the blisters heal for a week and tried them again, and within half an hour my skin was rubbed raw yet again. These fit flops are completely unwearable. What a waste of money!!! And, having just checked my Amazon account, it seem that I am too late to return them?

Excellent Product and fast delivery
Finding it difficult to get the range of fit flops in local shops, so was very pleased to find them on Amazon. Impressed with promptness of seller's delivery. Well packaged. These are a lovely maroon type colour: not at all 'in your face' pink!! Even nicer in reality than photo may suggest. Love them. Had given up on ever being able to wear sandal type footwear after on/off problems with plantar fascitis type problems etc. These are like gloves on my feet. I now hate wearing anythingelse on my feet and keep one pair of fit flops to use inside as my slippers, and others for outside. Heaven. I can walk serious distances in these. And all pain has gone since wearing them. It makes sense to wear a really supportive, comfy shoe for indoors as well as when out and about and fit flops certainly work well for me. Will be buying more. And these ones add just that dash of colour and fun!

brilliant shoes
this is my third pair of fit flops in a year - I am a definite convert! Bought the first pair on recommendation of a friend as I had been suffering with horrendous plantar facitis - along with exercises, this has now gone. I bought this pair on Thursday, delivered Friday and have not been off my feet since! They are so comfortable, good fit (size 5 and D width fitting, but not narrow feet). They are stylish enough to wear in the evening on holiday. Ordinary flip flops are just too flat for me now, and I don't want a return of the heel pain. Gold pair now siting in my basket..........................

A little too big
I don't like closed shoes & wear various sandals throughout the year. A friend recommended Fitflop sandals as I had been having problems walking for several months & other sandals were not helping the pain I was suffering. Following the speedy delivery of this order I put these Fitflops on and almost found instant relief for my pain. I continue to wear other sandals and these are a welcome addition to my collection. In the searing heat of southern Spain I am constantly changing my footwear throughout the day.The only downside is that I wish I had chosen one size smaller.

Great fitflops
Beautiful and stylish fitflops with soft grey suede inners and grey sparkle on top. Very comfortable and a joy to walk in. I am Size 4 and have narrow feet so my only problem with these is that they are not a tight fit on the uppers so don't actually give me too much support. However other friends who have "normal" shape feet have no problems and they fit well on them.
