Sturdy and Loud
Purchased this as it allowed for hardware RAID. Per the instructions, the dip switches were set to use RAID1 and two WD RED NAS drives inserted. When turned on, the noise from the fan/unit was surprisingly loud. The unit was left to run for a while to see whether the noise would decrease, but it didn't. The RAID1 functionality seemed to work okay for the short time it was used. The build quality otherwise seemed good. The unit was returned for a refund.

Fan is giving out after a few weeks
Was really excited to receive my Orico. I usually buy Yottamaster enclosures but the price for this 2 bay was slightly lower and I thought I'd give it a try. I wish I didn't now. The fan after a few weeks is constantly rattling and I don't know how long it'll last based on the noise. Won't be picking up another Orico for a while.

Just didn't work
Ok, first problem, it come with a stupidly short cable that if you have a laptop and you want this on the table next to it then you are probably ok. If you have any other configuration then the cable probably wont reach, my computer is on the floor and because of this cable, this item had to sit on top of it, not where I wanted it. Drives went in and it worked and I could see both drives but as soon as it was rebooted in Raid1 mode it would no longer read one of the drives. Installed the drive manager software but that was useless because it just kept saying "No disks or Raid" After rebooting it many times and because it was on the floor this was a real pain, and it still wouldn't work I gave up and started a return.

Not Reliable
This was glitchy from the start. Got a RAID 0 going. Eventually caused volume to become corrupt. Very little support from Orico customer services. Very frustrating experience No return from Amazon as past 30 days

Rubbish
Not happy with this purchase at all, converted an 8tb drive to raw files. Spending all day recovering files is not funny. Will be sending back, as I have had it less than 24 hours.

Worst product ever
Drive keeps going back to raw data and lost all files on it. This has happened twice now and luckily had a backup. Also drive keeps going on and off for no reason.

Caution
Unit spazzed out and converted two 4TB HDD's full of films and personal data collected over 20 years, to RAW format. Not impressed.
