Good tool but...
Be sure you know they're all different from each other. Each one measures a different rate. I made a mistake thinking it was a group of all the same rate tools. I wanted my groups of kids to each use one to measure the same thing but we had to end up sharing. Other than that they are good for a classroom setting to use as a spring scale or measuring Newtons.

Inexpensive spring scale set that is reasonably accurate
These are perfect for school science fair projects, or other 'non-critical' weighing tasks. They appear very well made for the price, and the pack offers a wide measurement range. Make sure to calibrate the spring scales periodically by adjusting the plastic nut - ideally using an 'accurate' calibration weight, but even just 'zeroing' the scales so it reads 0 when unloaded got reasonably accurate results, - within approximately 5% at mid capacity/range of each (which realistically is about as accurately as you can read the graduations on the scales anyway).

Condition is a bit rough, but seems good otherwise
If presentation matters, I wouldn’t recommend this particular set of scales, but I’m satisfied with them. I think this set of scales must have been stored in a damp place for a period of time, because all of the packaging as well as the scales themselves smell very musty and the metal hooks all have a rust spot on them. There’s some heavy scuffing on the colored plastic on one of them, but they otherwise look new and unused. The hooks could be replaced easily (if it mattered) and I hope the odor will dissipate after the scales air out for a while. I’m trying to think of how I could disinfect them without using anything that could make the springs sticky, or cloud the clear plastic. None of those minor issues affect the functioning of the scales, and aesthetics aside, this seems like a great set. I like that each weight|force range is a different color, and it’s a useful array of common weight ranges that you’d encounter in everyday objects. The operation is smooth, and the measurements seem reasonably accurate given that the precision isn’t very high. I weighed an object on my digital kitchen scale at about 915 grams for comparison; on the 1kg spring scale, the indicator was just a little over the 900 mark - I’d call it 920 if I were eyeballing it. This is close enough for what I’m using it for. Finally, there’s no other similar set on Amazon, so this one will have to do. My rating always reflects overall value, so note that my review is based on the price I paid, about $20 plus tax, with free shipping.

Not zeroed, inaccurate
Scales are not set to zero and gram weight is extremely off when compared with known valid scales even after doing math to correct for the inaccurate start

Quick, easy, well built
Very useful in my quick and easy stress testing of small models. Good range of force. Saves lots of time and effort.

Cap on one end is crooked and too tight to straighten.
I was going to use them for development of a prototype where appearance is important.

Great for physics experiments for kids
These a just the right size for testing mechanical advantage with small pulleys. Works well and is a good size.

Worked well
Good quality and worked well

Excellent condition for a scratch and dent product (damaged packaging); will work well for school science projects.

Variety of different weight range and quick and timely delivery

works relatively well for lightweight objects, good range provided by the available weight limits of each unit, not accurate enough to write a thesis off of but will give a solid +/- range reading of confidence each time. Works as advertised will measure what it says to within an accurac7y you would expect for the price

Good enough.. not for precision work

I like how accurate these scales are for each weight range. I wish I'd bought these before investing in a digital scale that isn't nearly as accurate as these. What I don't like is that for one of the scales the plastic barrel is scratched and discolored and the bottom is damaged. That's why I'm giving only 4 stars. But it still works fine, so I'm not going to make a fuss about it.
