This is a wonderful product and works great to block the sun. Easily snaps onto a beach chair, and the quality is very good. I recommend.

We usually take an umbrella to the beach but don't want to lug it to the ocean's edge when we want to sit with our feet in the water vs. sitting up on the sand. This fits the bill perfectly - for its size, it surprisingly keeps the sun off most of the top of your body - it will not cover your legs but for what we want it for, it's fine. eventually we'll get sick of moving the chair back or forward as the tide comes in or goes out, and retreat back to our full coverage umbrella. Great little addition to our beach day - fits on the chair, doesn't need to be taken off, and doesn't add that much weight that you'd say "forget it". We do have a "flying nun" look, but who cares, we love it.

The shade itself is light but well made, it functions well from folding up to pulling down and shading your whole face. It has a nice large arc so you don’t feel claustrophobic. It also comes in a decent zip case. However, the design of the attachment grippers to the chair is not the best. After one use it can easily slip off the chair so you have to gingerly mount it in place and operate it carefully or it might fall off. I’ll probably wrap some Velcro straps around the mounts to better secure them to the chair. Other than that it’s a very nice sun visor and I like it.

UPDATE: (2023) Still using my original shade on my Tommy Bahama chair.Still works,slightly faded from the hot sun here,but withstands high winds and provides solid shade.STILL very happy with it.Provides better shade than an umbrella as far as getting any sunburn,probably because it’s closer to your head and face than an umbrella.So if you have sensitive skin on your face or chest,use this under your umbrella for extra protection.Better than a hat,no itchy scalp,no sweaty head, great air flow.I’m a long time beach sitter,and this is my most valued possession. 2020:Fit on my Tommy bahama chair perfect,however,my husband who is tall,6’3....it wouldn’t quite go up high enough because of the lay down bar on the chair.This is excellent in wind,doesn’t budge.Just snaps on the fabric covered aluminum chair tubing as shown in photos.I bought a back up for guests I love it so much.We go to watch the high surf and whales and it’s nice to not have to lug down the umbrellas etc. I use both this and an umbrella on warm Hawaiian summer days.GREAT product,I was NOT paid or compensated for a review,just a person who loves this.

Love this hood but it falls forward to often

Works great! Nice and sturdy on the wind. I love how adjustable it is. Only issue is it only fits on chairs with round frame so it can only be used on one of my beach chairs.

I think I have tried every beach umbrella around. This one provides good shade when you are sitting in the chair. It is really sized for a child - should be longer/higher for adult. I am only 5' tall and my head hits the shade when I am sitting in the chair! My problem with the shade is it falls off every time I fold my chair because the armrest pushes the shade off the frame. Very annoying. If you put it on backwards so the armrests don't push it off, the chair won't close and you can't fold the shade to transport. Great idea but needs some work. It's like no one tested it before they sold it or they would know it falls off every time you close your chair. It's not that easy to put on so very annoying to have to put it on every time you use it.

If you love being outside, maybe getting some sun, but have a need for shade, this is really the best little addition to your beach chair EVER! I have multiple reasons to use this, such as taking medication that carries a notice of sun exposure causing a reaction, having an autoimmune disorder that causes my face to be red all the time anyway but gets exacerbated by sunlight (seriously, I look like a lobster), and wanting to be able to relax without having to wear a hat or visor 100% of the time to keep the sun out of my eyes and face. Helps cool you down a little without having the sun beating down on your head, too. I loved this so much I bought a second one for our other chair and talk about it to everyone I meet while using it. Easy to snap on to most beach chairs, and has such a tight fit that it doesn't slip off or move around, at all. Could be a little hard to remove from the chair for someone without a bit of strength or with poor grip (have a helper to do that if necessary, but it is not a deal breaker for me). My kids are not little any more but I could see it being helpful for kids who are taking a break from the water and need a break from the sun as well or for napping. Highly recommend and wish I'd had this years ago!

I loved this product. It protected me from the sun when I wanted it to. It was easy to put on the chair and when I wasn't using it, it flipped nicely to the back of my chair. I highly recommend it.

El parasol esta muy bien y cumple su función Pero, no ajusta bien a las barras de la Amaca, he tenido que poner cinta aislante para darme mas grosor a la barra ya que se soltaba no coge bien, no lleva tornillos para presionarla, y como aun asi no quedaba del todo segura la he cogido con cinta aislante para darle sujeción, es un chapucilla pero me ha servido, tenerlo en cuenta que no hace presión y se suelta, os las tendréis que ingeniar o devolverla y es una pena porque el parasol es bonito y practico y yo tengo una amaca estándar, no es de barras pequeñas ni estrechas.
