Is the size of this handle the same as the trd pro. From what I've read the pro handle is larger.

It's the same size. I noticed the difference right away. Also, I drive a TRD for work, and it's the same size.

Is there a ring that goes on the bottom of the shift knob?

No! Just pull down the bottom leather bag and unscrew knob, that’s it, it is the same TRD KNOB, worth the buy
