This is a nice paint stripper as it does not smell, it takes some work washing off after you have scraped it.

Product itself works but please be aware this cannot be used on MDF. It swells and causes damage. I had asked the Rufus chat bot if it could be used and it said yes, so partly my fault for not further researching. In terms of the amount you get - good value.

I originally purchased this to take layers of glass paint off a door frames however with 7 doors to do this was not going to be enough product so I went back to the original plan of using the beat gun HOWEVER - i used it to strip layers of varnish off an old wood dining table and it worked a treat. The picture shows the original colour ( on the chair) and the now stripped back table top which I will be white waxing. Luckily I plan to paint the chairs so only need to sand back enough to create a key for the paint to adhere to. I rarely leave reviews but this product worked a treat on the table top. I smeared a thin/medium layer all over the table and left it for 1 hour. I used a scraper to take it off - it came off all gloopy so it was messy, but it worked and saved a lot of sanding. I then cleaned everything off with warm soapy water, let it dry and lightly sanded over the whole area. In summary, I think this is ideal for small jobs but you would need alot to do anything bigger. ( I used half the bottle for the table top - 1 application for 1 hour). It worked for the few layers of varnish that were on the table however it would probably need alot longer processing time, or more applications to go through layers of gloss as I originally planned to used it.
