pleasant surprise
Shocked and pleasantly surprised by this little radio, no bigger than a credit card. I can't believe the quality of the sound and the volume, and the stations available. When I opened the package my first thought was this will be going back as no way could it be of the quality that was sufficient to satisfy my requirements. I wanted a small radio for when I walk my dogs in The New Forest every day, well this little radio more than fills the bill. I bought two, one for my husband who has a hearing deficit, and he is as delighted with his, as I am with mine, being ale to get all the stations. he favours. Who would have thought such a tiny thing could have such quality. WOWSEY

Snap, crackle, wot?!
I'm relieved to be able to write this review as it allows me to give up trying to store stations and follow the tiny print of the incomplete, poorly translated operating instructions. FM reception is variable as the tuner uses the ear-piece lead as an aerial. So, if you're on the move, stereo goes, then the signal goes, then it returns - opps, no - gone again. Pretty poor/pathetic really given it's 2022 and small FM radios have been around forever. Unlike most portable radios, this gem doesn't display the word 'Stereo' when signal strength is sufficient to achieve this, so, listen closely for the tell-tale left/right ear separation. I won't waste more of your time by describing the pain of attempting to listen to the AM band - is it 1940? - I swear I caught Winston Churchill saying 'We'll fight them on the beaches ...'What does the lock key do? Search me. Search the instructions. It's not explained. Charging though the provided usb lead is slow for only 5 hours use. The ear-pieces provided are very basic, so bass response is feint, but there's plenty of volume to go with the hissy signal. Luckily it's light-weight and only slightly bigger than a match box so I will now ignore it. Save your money. I really can't recommend this at any price, let alone £13.99.

No backlight. So if dark - will need to shine a torch on it to tune
Has no back light meaning if you are using this in the dark, say walking the dog at night, or listening in bed - you'll have to shine a torch on the digital display to be able to actually see it.Tuning is a faff. It can autotune, which is OK. But to manually tune it stops on every station, then you have to keep pressing a button to skip through. It takes ages and is frustrating. Also, probably because it's Chinese it goes down to FM frequencies that are not used in the UK, so that's more skipping and faff for the autotuning.Reception on FM is fairly decent. Reception on AM is poor. Sound quality is a little tinny, but acceptable - but that's only to be expected at this price.A good feature is the rechargeable mobile phone batter that holds up reasonably well and is better than faffing around with AA batteries. But to be honest I'm a bit disapointed, mainly due to not having a back light which renders it difficult to use for what I intended.Summary: I wish I'd spent a bit more bought another model with a backlight.

Brilliant little radio
Got this recently to use when I go out for little walks either with dogs or on my own. I wanted something I could just wear round my neck on lanyard (supplied) or in a pocket. I have agoraphobia and I find walking around listening to the radio really does help me and keeps me company and calmer. I imagine it would be excellent too for anyone in hospital. No internal speaker but I listen through headphones in any event. It’s really tiny but got loads of stations on auto tune. I am very pleased with it and I really find it keeps me company and reduces my stress when I go out for my walks. Charges via usb in about 3 hrs and has a power remaining indicator. I thoroughly recommend this little gem. Excellent value for the money. Ideal on the daily commute to work I should imagine also. So if you want a tiny little radio, I really don’t think you could do better than this.

Great little radio
I bought for my husband who works on a site to use. He loves it. Charge is good and once he’s preprogrammed the radio stations finds it easy to use. Only improvement would be that it works without the earphones but apart from that is perfect. Would recommend.
