Do u need to replace this transmission seal anytime u replace the cv axle on a 210 ford escape fwd?

if u r careful when u rmove it ,and put a little greese on the inner lip when u replace axel, and when slidling in at first be very careful and once u heve the end started ,slide in ,but if it leaked before ,its gonna stilll leak. take your time and make sure end of shaft slides in easy.

Can i use this on the right side as well??
