God bless those Duetchlanders ! Great innovation !
Simple, small and light. Useful capacity, for single servings. I purchased this as an adjunct to my pack-kitchen. Ideal for light-duty outings and shorter treks. Worth it, just for the cup/pot ... you get a stove, to boot! My main stove is a Coleman Multi-Fuel Gasoline stove. My main cooking pot/pan is 1.7 liters. This Esbit stove provides me with a great boil-cup and extra fuel options! Allows use of light/compact fuel cubes or kindling sized wood. Burner has well designed, integral wind-screen ... all one piece. Burner stows inside boiler-cup/pot and make a very light and compact package. The price is VERY reasonable and the kit is (very well) worth every penny. My world is a better place with this stove in it ! I LIKE it ! ... FIVE STARS !

This is not a authentic Esbit Stove. This is a knock-off, beware. This is not Esbit packaging, nor is it a genuine Esbit product.

Esbit Aluminum Cookset/Stove
I was very disappointed with my 1st time use of this stove. Not only was it difficult fitting the fuel tablets in & then trying to light it, I was at a higher elevation of above 10k ft, I had went through almost two packs of matches just trying to get the fuel tablets to light. Furthemore, it would not come to a boil and only heated it to a very hot, non-simmering state. I had used not one tablet but a section of (4) of them at one time, and so I was very disappointed in the results. I do like the pot and will find use for this on my other portable stove. I'm not sure that I will be taking the stove or tablets on any future bp's with me from this experience and so it was purely a waste of my $$. They say that you get what you pay for and that is why I chose this inexpensive set, I believed that after reading the reviews it would surprise me and have great results for little spent.

small, lightweight, simple
The esbit pot and burner work well together especially for solo camping. Lightweight, nestle together to save space, easy to clean. The burner is quite small but easy to get a small wood kindling fire going in. I haven't used the fuel tabs which would probably work even better. The pot fits solidly on top. Great for a quick cup of soup or tea. A nice addition to a solo backpack kit.

Richeous Little Stove
I got the brand new version of the pot & stove, with the new Esbit packaging. It looks like the stove has undergone a few modifications to make it more efficient like the Pocket Stove. It looks just like the stove in the image, except there is now a ring of punched out holes around the fuel holder, to promote air circulation (like how it should be - air up from the bottom and out the top/side) As for the stove/pot as a whole unit, I was really shocked how light the whole assembly is (200 grams). I think it is almost as light as the pocket stove! Make sure to keep the plastic bags it came in so you have something to wrap the stove part in, if you plan to store it inside the pot. Apparently you can get a little grime if you aren't careful. The ring on the top is slightly tensioned, so if you put it straight up, it'll stay up (so you can use a stick to lift it if you need to) Tips: - Don't put the pot on the flame without something liquid inside it (it'll warp and possibly melt) - If you're on a stable surface, you can mount the fuel tab sideways which gives off more heat, resulting in a shorter boiling time (doesn't work as reliably in the wind though) - Use ONLY Esbit brand fuel tablets. The grabber ones are funky. I actually just ordered some Esbit tablets through a non-Amazon website, and they sent me Grabber! I will be returning them as they produce lots of grime and are less efficient. - Party on, Dudes!

Esbit knockoff.
Identical to the Esbit cookset but for what appears to be a draft door in the front of the stove stand. It does little for simmering, I assume that's it's function, and the knob is both too long and not coated in silicon or some other agent. As a result, rattling inside the pot during travel causes scratching to the pot's inner wall. I dabbed a little high temp silicone on it, but I shouldn't have had to.

Good little kit
Decent setup. With the 3/16" rivited tray removed it runs a full size Trangia well. You will run its own original sooty fuel with a foil underlay anyway, in pinch, then you will need to clean the outside of a boil pot as well as the inside. The 3/16" lost won't make any difference with tablet fuel but makes all the difference with a meths burner. They sell a bigger model, with a meths burner included, which looks nice but is too big for me. It can also run well with a pop can stove. Standoff plastic feet attached with screws don't appear to be lock tighted, they were loose out of the box, not good. Still, I think it is a good buy overall.
