Why is this not passing power to my ipad?

hi ffriend , this usb c splitter can not pass power through the usb c female to male port ,the power only can pass from usb c male to female port

I have two external ssds, but only one usb-c port on my computer. will this allow me to use both at once, or transfer data between them?
