Great little set for keeping vinyl nice and clean. It comes in it’s own case complete with fluid, velvet brush for the vinyl, small brush to clean the velvet brush and a small container with some wonderful potion that cleans your needle which I’ve never seen before. Buy it and thank me later

I decided to play some old single records, mainly from the 60s but some as early as 1958 or as late as the 70s. Most play well, some perfectly but some were without covers (not my doing and too long ago to name a culprit) and a couple were sticking. I already have a carbon fibre brush and stylus brush but the carbon fibre brush alone didn’t deal with the sticking problem and other records had a lot of snap, crackle and pop, presumably because of a mix of dust and static. Using the liquid with the velvet pad and followed by the carbon brush (not included remember) has sorted most but not all of the sticking problems and greatly reduced unwanted noise. It hasn’t worked on the mainly older records 1958-1961, particularly those without dust covers but my expectations for those weren’t high anyway.My one quibble with the cleaning set is that you have to go online for more information and it appears that records should be rinsed in distilled or ionised (I think) water after using the fluid. I think this should be clearer in the product description and I also think full printed instructions should be included in the kit. I’ve only given four stars for those reasons.

The cleaning kit is in a handy pouch so keeps everything safe.The velvet brush does a great job of cleaning dust off the vinyl, you also get a small hard brush to use to clean the velvet brush. The stylus gel is something I've never seen or used before, very simple to use, place the jar under the needle and lower the stylus into it 2-3 times, the gel is firm not as i thought it would be, the action of placing the stylus into the gel ensures any dust/ static is removed and it really does improve the sound.The one thing i was disappointed with was the liquid used to spray on the velvet brush to give the vinyl a deep clean, it's left my vinyl records looking cloudy and i can't seem to return it to looking shiny as it should be, maybe I'm doing something wrong but i don't think so. Instead of using the liquid i just use the velvet brush dry and it does a great job, the kit is quite expensive for what it is, would i recommend you buying this, yes i would, it does make a difference to the sound and the stylus gel will last years.
