This is a great introduction to the orchestra for any K-2 general music class. My classes loved the story and began asking questions about the different instruments. This is a good purchase for any Music Class library.

I love this book for introducing the different orchestral instrument families to elementary-aged students. The artwork is cute and engaging, with personified instruments that still look close enough to their real-life design that children will be able to recognize the real instrument when they see it. I liked that there is a quick description of the tone quality of some of the instruments. The book even includes a QR code to download cute coloring sheets

This story is about a little violin who explores a music store after hours, and meets other instrument families. I read it to my third graders at my school and they absolutely loved it. It was a perfect introduction to instrument Families.

AH! This book came along at the perfect time! This is what I'm doing with my students this week! This book is way better than some of the old standbys that I was planning to use to introduce the instruments of the orchestra! The illustrations are gorgeous and incredibly accurate for a teaching resource. Lots of love for this book!

This lovely book is a wonderful introduction to the instruments of the orchestra for young learners. As a music educator, I have enjoyed using this book to introduce instrument families to my students. Each instrument has a distinct personality and uniqueness, perfect for kinder and first graders. I love having a digital copy to display on my interactive white board, and the students are captivated by the beautiful art work.

As a music teacher, I LOVE finding more books to include in my practice, particularly at the elementary level. This book has beautiful illustrations, but more importantly it is engaging for kids of all ages. The story is easy to understand, educational, and relatable as far as compassionate characters go :) I recommend this to educators and parents!
