works well and easy to clean.
its a nice fan and feels sturdy enough to last a long time even though its made mostly of plastic, with care it should last a while, i really love that they have a cord pocket and the face plate is easy to remove for easy cleaning of the blades and it is a bit loud but not terbly and pushing a really good amount of air even at low speed. worth the price in my honest opinion,

Ludicrous airflow, ludicrous noise. I love it.
I bought this to use as a window fan. I’ve went through 2 actual window fans this year and I NEED. MORE. AIRFLOW. I have a gaming computer in my small bedroom, you can’t escape the laws of thermodynamics, it gets HOT after a while. So I got this HURRICANE floor fan, stuck it in my window, and got rolled pvc liner that goes underneath showers and tile to make it waterproof and create a seal. I cut a hole in the pvc slightly smaller than the fan and stretched it over, and created a flap so I can close it if it’s too warm outside. Let’s talk about the LUDICROUS airflow and LUDICROUS noise. It’s got 3 settings. It’s got a knob with three settings. 1 being the lowest airflow, 3 the highest. 1 lowest- I have not needed to use anything more than this to cool my room. Even on the lowest setting, it’s a hurricane. So much airflow, louder than most fans, but I can still hear well enough that I don’t hear it over my headphones. 2 medium- It’s like sticking your head in the back of a 747 engine. It’s loud as a jet engine. Once again, I don’t care I need LUDICROUS airflow. That’s why I bought this fan. 3 high- It’s creates a continuous blast wave of air, and like a high explosive bomb, it will knock light objects over on my table, invest in paper weights. It’s also loud as a blast wave. You’d have to talk uncomfortably loud to have a conversation in a small room to hear each other. Once again, I NEED LUDICROUS AIRFLOW, I. DON’T. CARE. IF. IT’S. LOUD. There are bladeless fans that are much quieter, but it’s impossible for them to move as much air as this Hurricane fan. It’s got huge blades, they moves a LUDICROUS amount of air, and yeah, it creates LUDICROUS noise on medium and high. I still don’t care. This is the best fan I have ever purchased. I just bought it, so I can’t say how long it will last. But the noise comes from the airflow only, it doesn’t vibrate or spin in an unintended funky way. So yeah, love this fan. 5 stars, would buy again as long as it lasts a decent amount of time.

Works great. On the loud side
This fan is loud and the low setting blows very much. It is a nice fan just wish I could tone it down.

(UPDATED 9-Aug-2018) High Setting Turns Air Flow Up To 11!! Even Low Setting Loud For A Bedroom, Seems Well Made
When it comes to moving air I'm very pleased with my new Hurricane box fan. It moves an impressive amount of air and I believe it meets the impressive 2,400 cubic feet per minute rate on high. Even on its lowest setting this fan moves a lot more air than my old fan set on high! And, I thought that one was pretty good. When it comes to Noise I'm not so much. That's the apparent tradeoff for moving a lot of air. The Hurricane on its lowest setting makes quite a bit more noise than my older fan on high. It's too noisy for me in a bedroom fan but that depends on how much noise you can tolerate. I think it's important to point out that the noise seems to come entirely from the fan blades through air. My old fan was almost silent for this kind of noise, but vibrated quite a bit. That noise carried through the walls and I could hear it running in other rooms. Not so with the well balanced Hurricane. It seems noisy but just in the room where it's running. The Hurricane was surprisingly smaller than the old metal frame one it replaces. Both are described as 20in fans but with the Hurricane it appears to refer to the outer box dimensions. On my older fan it refers to the blade diameter. The Hurricane is also very thin: about half the thickness of my old fan. That's a real plus when you are placing a fan on your window sill! The Hurricane's box is almost all plastic with some metal reinforcing. So are the sleekly curve blades. It sounds cheaply made to describe, but I was impressed with the quality of construction. It also does not seem to vibrate noticeably when it's running. I think it will last very well. Good engineering I think. In my application I am using it in a upstairs windows to pull air through the one room upstairs in my old New England cape style home. Essentially as an exhaust fan. I used some eye hooks and a bungee cord to hold it tightly in window. With the fan on low I can be in the middle of the room and feel the air flow distinctly. When it comes to moving air I'm very impressed. Noise level, not as much. In conclusion, this box fan moves more air than any other I looked at locally. On low it moves much more than my old fan on high! But it's noisy for a bedroom or living space. Even when on low. Construction is very good and I think it will last years if not decades. It's much more compact than other box fans I looked at. I I'm torn between 4 and 5 stars. No half stars on Amazon so I'm giving it 4 stars. It's an impressive box fan but even on its lowest setting it's is pretty noisy. UPDATE 9-Aug-2018: This fan has continued to exceed my expectations. It really moves a lot of air. I rarely want to use it above the low settings, but when I do it delivers moving air thought my attic bedroom and cooling it down from the day's heat (this is an attic room!). Yes, it is noisier than my previous fan. It took a little while but I'm used to it now and no longer concerns me, at least on low. Considering how much air this fan moves I have reconsidered the noise level and I'm not upgrading my Hurricane box fan to 5 stars. I'm even more pleased than when I wrote the original review and raising my ranking to 5 stars. It's an impressive fan.

Approximately noisy and moves a lot of air
I am a day sleeper and bought this to drown out the general noise of the daytime. It does it's job well and is quite sturdy

GREAT AIRFLOW AND SOLID FAN
I picked up the Hurricane Classic Floor Box Fan for a small mining farm I have and was honestly impressed with how solid it feels. A lot of box fans tend to shake or rattle when you crank them up to the highest setting, but this one stays steady and stable the whole time. No wobbling, no random noises, just smooth and powerful airflow. The fan pushes a good amount of air, cools down a room fast, and feels well built for the price. Setup was basically just unboxing it and plugging it in, and it hasn’t given me a single issue. Overall, if you want a simple, reliable fan that doesn’t dance across the floor on high speed, this one does the job perfectly. No complaints from me.

I am so glad I found this fan
I always am very picky on my fans, or I can never find the right fan. I use to get the Lasko box fans at Walmart. They would only last a year and after that or not even a year they would make an awful rattle noise. I got so tired of waisting my money. I decided 2 years ago to go with this Hurricane fan. I absolutely love it and I’m in love. It’s still in good condition and puts off great air. The only thing I don’t like about it is it doesn’t have a handle on top of the fan to carry it. But I rather put up with it having no handle than what I have dealt with other fans. I use this fan every year for summer and it does great. I highly recommend!

It's a fan, not anything special.
It's a fan, not anything special. Some of the reviews here make it seem like this fan is incredibly strong and pushes tons of air. It doesn't. It's about the same as any other box fan, including the $20 ones from Walmart (this is double that price). The main pros is that it's slim and has sturdy legs. The main cons is the loudness (loud even at the lowest setting) and underwhelming airflow.
