Down grade from my original review below. After testing and looking over the pump, it was clear that the pump had been used before and was not new. So I plugged it in to see if it worked. Not surprised to find that the pump did not work, pumped for 10 seconds at a high rate and then down to almost nothing, even on full power. So carried out a return of the product. After a wait for the pump to be shipped to the UK, opened the box to find the hose connectors missing, pump was brand new and still wrapped up the pump did have a 90 degree inlet end that was not mentioned in the spec. I have no time to wait for a replacement to be sent back and another sent from the states. ordered a 1” hose connector so I can get the replacement pump running in my current sump for the aquarium.

Moves 2250gph max. Quiet operation if put inside a cabinet(inline) or used submerged... Lot of bang for your buck in comparison with other pumps with similar gph.

I purchased this a year ago and it’s still working ! For the value of the money, I have no problems so far and it’s been great quality and the durability for lasting this long. I recommend better pricing than PetSmart

For the 1850gph pump. The inlet threads fit 1 1/4 inch PVC. The threads on the top outlet are 1inch and for 1inch PVC adapters. Update: 2025/10/04 I have now purchased two of these pumps. They work very well and are extremely quiet. At level one, 30% of operation, it will pump between 500 and 600gph. You cannot go wrong getting this pump if what you need is something that pumps between 550gph and 1850gph. I use one externally to circulate my saltwater holding tank and I use one in my 125g reef tank sump.

So far so good. I bought this pump to use as a submersible pump in my aquarium sump. It's been up and running for a month now and no issues. I like that they include multiple fittings for flexibility. It also has a wave maker setting that adjust the flow up and down to simulate natural water movement. The only small issue I have is not having a dedicated feed button. You can hold the power button for 3 seconds and it will pause the pump for 10 min but having a dedicated button is nice. If you accidentally shut it off instead of going to feed mode the unit does remember the last setting and comes back on at that setting if you accidentally shut it off. Overall a good unit for the money.
