So it turns out that kitchen cabinet hinges are a "wear" item, they wear out and need to be replaced. Ours were 20 years old, some of the cabinet doors wouldnt stay open, some wouldnt stay closed... So I bought some of these to replace the old ones. These are nice hinges, definitely a classy upgrade. The soft-close works perfectly. Simple to install. Simple to adjust. We like them enough that we are upgrading all the hinges in the kitchen, not just the ones that were worn out.

As many buyers of this product on Amazon, I wanted to use these hinges to retrofit older Blums cabinet hinges that just slam your door. I hate them. For corner doors these new bluemotion is the only option. I was hoping these would be just swap replacement for my older ones - I was wrong. There are two issues I dealt with 1) the distance from cabinet surface to bc door these hinges have is SLIGhTLY bigger than of older Blums. In the absence of this problem, I could only replace ONE hinge on the door (2 or 3 hinges on each in my case), but in such case the door was uneven to the surface. Barely noticeable for an average person - but I am perfectionist and I can see this gap. It is about 1/8 of an inch. Solution - replace ALL hinges on each door (which is 2-3 times more expensive) 2) second problem is that the depth of these hinges is different - my older Blums are 10mm deep, my cabinets doors were drilled for 11mm, now these bluemotion hinges are 12mm deep. So, as you can see on one of my photos - it creates unpleasant “arch” between screws. My solution was to carefully drill 1-1/2” hole slightly deeper (by 2mm). This solution is not for everyone - you need proper tools and you are risking destroying your door by drilling it through. My door is only 15mm thick, so 12mm hole leaves only 3mm of material on the face. I was able to accomplish it, but was nervous. I had to paint bottom of the hole with marker and then remove thin layer one after another constantly measuring depth with caliper. So, my verdict - the hinges are perfect in themselves (hence my 5 star rating), but if you intent to retrofit - be ready to compromise on aesthetics, pay more or do extra woodworking. Aside from this - using bluemotion hinges is night and day compared to constantly slamming doors. Go for it, it is totally worth it.

These work great. We are replacing all the hinges. I don't understand why any house built this decade wouldn't use soft closing hinges by default.

while I very much like the hinges and the soft close feature is pleasing to my customers, they do not come with screws either to mount the hinge to the door or to the cabinet. Seems to me they did and now they don't.

I had to replace a Mepla hinge 348.258.00.35 with a broken base plate. I couldn't find the exact hing and when I saw the price of these I took a gamble... if they don't fit I'm only out a couple of bucks. Well not only did they fit perfectly, the were incredibly easy to install using the existing holes and screws (though new screws were provided with the hinges). The best part, these are easy close hinges. The down side, my wife was so impressed she asked me If I could swap out the rest of the hinges in all of our bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry room. So far I've been able to hold her off but the next time I have to replace a hinge, I will do all the cabinets in that room with these.

We have installed these in two houses. Once you've lived with soft close cabinets, you are hooked and cannot change back to the "old fashioned" ones. It is very easy to remove the old hinges and install these soft close models. The price is about 1/2 of the big box home stores and they are of good quality. If your door has two hinges all that you need to change out is one hinge per door. If they are three hinge doors it will take two replacements per door. Order these (I ordered one to check out first to be sure they would work) and when your wife is gone for a couple of hours install them. Then sit back and see what happens. I guarantee you'll have a very happy wife.

We replaced our 12 year old house's cheapie hinges with these soft-close hinges and they were a perfect drop-in fit. No more door slamming! And the doors now have a more premium feel. Because our doors aren't too heavy, we selectively disabled one of the soft-close hinges so that the doors close a little faster. You can order these in 10-50 pack configurations for significant cost-savings.

Used them on a couple of kitchens we manufactured. They are easy to install, and so far they work perfectly. The only problem was that it took more than a month to deliver. Corona times.

These were easy to install, and they work great. 1 per cabinet door, and now I’ve upgraded my entire kitchen to “soft close” for a fraction of the price.

It worked perfect on my faceframed kitchen cabinets. I built a new doors and fit perfect. Now we have a brand new kitchen cabinet without building a new cabinet boxes.,.

Needed to replace cabinet hinges and these did the trick. Would buy again
