Works just as well as much more expensive units.
Extremely well constructed, and a great price. It works every bit as well as the green one at less than half the price, and I kind of like the purple anyway.

Will never record without this little lady ever again
This is a fantastic little piece of gear to have. I use this in between my guitar and audio interface when recording and the difference is night and day. An absolutely gorgeous clean signal comes out. Someone made a comment about how this is probably not good in the studio but I completely disagree. This little guy is the unsung hero of the studio. Tech specs are great and all, but at the end of the day it’s about how a track SOUNDS. And this baby sounds terrific. Great price too!

Samson Direct Box
If you're looking for a simple, passive DI solution for not a lot of money, this is your solution. This box is at the end of my signal chain on an acoustic guitar pedal board, and it changes/colors absolutely nothing in my guitar tone. It simply provides an easy way to get a balanced XLR out to the sound system. This one does what it says, and the price is right. No need to pay bunches more!

The MD1 Pro is a big step forward in quality for Samson direct boxes. Having used the previous/cheaper efforts I can safely say that this is definitely the way to go now. Super simple and easy and its pretty much perfect for multiple uses, for example: I ran my acoustic/electric into the direct box and then the output into my amp facing me at the gig as a personal monitor and the sound guy took the output into his mixer to the PA for the audience and I got some of the best sound I've ever had with no feedback whatsoever. Good as a basic gate for recording as well if you are running into a noisy situation.

Super cheap and reliable DI
A direct box is a must have for bass players, acoustic guitarists, and DJs. Nothing is more annoying than unwanted noise from your unbalanced signal when you're trying to play a gig. This direct box can be a lifesaver by creating a clear, and clean signal free of RF interference. Its' chassis is rugged and will hold up to countless jobs, and also includes an attenuation switch to add versatility for different applications. This is hands down a cheap and affordable necessity for any musician.
