Over the Rainbow (Book & Audio CD) (Book and CD)

I love buying books for my toddler that are based on songs because they are a great way to introduce children to classic songs. The beautiful illustrations in this book are sure to capture littles attentions. We listen to the song while looking at the pictures together.

We read this book in my daughter’s music class. It is so beautiful. My friend is having a baby so I had to get it for her. I didn’t even realize a cd came with it. So it was a nice bonus!

The song comes to life in this book! The entire song is beautifully illustrated. The pages are filled with colorfully subdued tones that match the lullaby tone of the accompanying CD, which features Judy Garland singing the title song! Perfect for listening to yourself and for calming little ones. I use it at naptime with my preschoolers. It's well worth the money!

This is a wonderful book to share with your child. The more I listen to the CD, the more I love it. It is a very different presentation than the Judy Garland version, but I love the phrasing on this CD. Grandkids all love it!

I got this because my daughter and I love this song. We found the art illustrations from a certain point a bit repetitive and kind of stagnant and really didn't do the building climax of the song much justice. There were several pages with constellations sporting faces rather than escape an amazing! Imaginative alternate world. It just didn't really deliver like the song does. I suspect this book will end up in my music classroom soon, rather than staying in her collection. It comes with a CD which will be great for kindergarten and first grade kids. I can also use it at an independent work station with a headphone hub.

This book is beautiful. I used to sing this song to my daughter when she was little so I had to get it for my granddaughter. I love it!

We checked this book out of the library about two weeks ago, so we didn't listen to the CD. Instead, I just sang the text to my six-year-old son.The next morning, my son, without the book, starting making his own illustrations for Over the Rainbow. That was when I ordered him his own copy of this book.I am so in love with Eric Puybaret's gorgeous and whimsical illustrations -- I'm pretty sure that before long we will end up owning every book he has illustrated.

This is a lovely new twist to an old, beloved song. Beautifully illustrated book on a classic song...A must have for my collection. Glad I purchased the book.

Received today, bit later than other books I ordered, but looks great with big red hardback cover- will keep it for xmas- great present.

I wish the CD music could be downloaded. No one has cd player anymore.
