FC12 vs. Olight Warrior S3
Tactical Lights – High output spot beam – good for outdoors – bad for automotive or industrial repair inspections. The FC12 is a great value for dollar light and compares similarly in output to the Olight Warrior S3. This is a budget tactical light and as such has to make some compromises.Wurkkos FC12 – Best buy ~ $40 (2000 advertised Lumens)Decent build quality, same size as the Olight Warrior 3S. A little skinnier. Uses a standard 3000mAh 18650 rechargeable battery. Very narrow spot light beam pattern, about as bright as the Olight W3S but the spot light is tighter. They both throw the beam very far and about the same distance. The Olight has a nicer more consistent pattern that is more usable in different situations. The FC12 has a good pocket clip and USB-C charging. Simple programmable user interface (UI), battery level indicator is green for >70% charge for 5 sec when you turn it on. I chose the grey color and I really like it, looks more like titanium.Con: Tail switch must be used for on/off and side switch only selects light levels. This is a little clunky but not a deal breaker. The Olight WS3 can use either button. No magnetic tail and difficult to tail stand on the FC12.Olight Warrior 3S – Premium tactical light ~ $120 (2300 Lumens)High build quality. Extremely bright on turbo. Spot light beam pattern only, very uniform and round.Wonderful user interface (UI). Tail cap has momentary ½ push high, full push turbo. Slick battery level and brightness indicator. Fully customizable selections from very low moonlight to extremely bright 2300 true lumens. Sensor that automatically reduces the light level if the head is in close proximity to something. Pro/Con is debatable around the magnetic charging. I personally like it, super easy to use and works well. Well-designed large pocket clip (reversible) and the light just feels ultra-premium in the hand. Magnetic tail to hold it to metal surfaces (upside-down only, won’t hold it sideways) and tail stands easily. Comes with a nice sheath (much better than average) to carry on the belt or via Molle.Con: Expensive and a little big to everyday carry EDC. Proprietary 21700 5000mAh battery.

Lovely good looking tough torch/flashlight.
My first Wurkkos torch/flashlight and I'm very, very impressed. Glad I got the tactical mode version. Grey colour is great. Maybe they could bring out a 21700 version. I'm so impressed with this product I will definately be buying more torches/flashlights from Wurkkos.

Pocketable USB-C tactical light with great throw
Pros:- Excellent package for the price: light, pocket clip, lanyard, battery, USB A-to-C charging cable (works w/ USB C-to-C too!)- Simple UI that involves instant access to turbo (light press, then full press) & momentary ON (light press) from the tail switch- Nice low lumen moonlight mode that you'll never accidentally start on (hold side and press tail switch)- Side switch indicates the battery level on startup- SFT40 emitter in this deep reflector has excellent throw and spill alike w/ great performance- Springs on both ends of battery tube means you can use pretty much any 18650 battery and it won't get damaged if/when you drop the light- You can physically lockout the light by unscrewing the tailcap 1/8 turn or so- The body has a unique, grippy shape that stands out from typical knurling and comes in a sweet gray color- Most lights that throw well have a wide head; this one does not and is very pocketableNeutral:- Brightness level drops with the battery level, unlike regulated lights, but the upside is that when you have a fully charged battery you're getting max performance from the emitter. Not a bad idea for a tactical light where you may only be using it for burst or momentary instead of very prolonged usage.- Emitter is pretty blue at 6500K but that's the price you pay for the best throw/lumens from a SFT40- USB-C charging is convenient and makes this light very giftable, but can compromise waterproof rating if the rubber plug is compromised or tears offCons:- Two-way pocket clip is bulky, yet thin, and unnecessary since you can just run the light with the battery tube threaded the other way to reverse the clip direction. A simple, sturdy one-way clip would suffice

Best Budget EDC flashlight
First off, I was looking for a replacement flashlight for work. I work construction and I can be pretty hard on flashlights. Ive had some other brands that aren't so great on build quality so first off, let me tell you about the build quality.Build quality on this flashlight is fantastic. It's very rugged and has great knurled ribs all over for great grip.On top of that it also features that doubled sided pocket clip. This allows it to be clipped on different things for more use and that is easily one of my favorite clips on a flashlight like this. Now let's talk about the buttons. I've seen so many flashlights in this category miss the mark on button quality in the first place. They get mushy feeling or aren't robust. This has a sturdy strong tail button (a personal favorite of mine for flashlights) and a mode button. Both feel robust. Also the tail piece has button guards to protect the button from getting banged up bad.Light settings. Oh boy does this little light have it all. First of all at max lumens, the throw on this thing is insane. (See pictures) it will go exactly where you want it. The fact that it's a combo flood spot, and an extremely well designed one btw, just boosts the throw all while making surrounding areas very clear (again, see photos. This is easily my favorite feature. The versatile spot flood combo is extremely useful and eliminates moving parts on the front of the torch. It has step mode so you can choose any specific brightness in the flashlights range. All the way down to 1 lumen to 2000 lumens. 4 clicks bring you to basic brightness settings that use one click to access different modes. Within this you can click 3 times and access strobe (the best strobe I've seen for self defense), SOS, and a very bright and functional beacon. On top of all of this? It also has a heat sensor that will turn down the brightness to compensate for over heating. No other flashlight I've had has done that. Most will over heat and turn off completely, leaving you in the dark, or worse yet, frighting the led and battery.Charging port is type c. No more mangled flashlight plugs or crappy cables. We are on the next level of charging and this flashlight keeps up. Charging takes a bit longer than I'd like, but I don't think this is worth tarnishing the review, especially when we take into consideration the runtime of this torch.I've used this non stop for the past week and still has a decent charge. This light is slightly bigger than most EDC lights but that runtime really gives it a worthy spot in my carry.I must say, first time purchase from this brand has truly been an awesome experience. I was not expecting such top tier quality.

Seems like a decent light
So far this light has been a good one for me. I have quite a few tools I carry on my belt for work including this light. This light performs very well being the size and the tail switch is the only way to turn the light on. It tends to get hot, but that's due to me leaving it in a higher setting. I love that I can charge this in my work vehicle very easily. Also carried the Olight Warrior S2 and S3 and they tend to catch small metal particles which render charging almost impossible. Also tried the ThruNite TN12 Pro and it's side switch will turn on the light like the Olight, but much easier. Found it turned on in several times when I hadn't turned it on and battery drained down. For the price, this one can't be beat.
