Easy install under 1 hour. OEM replacement, hope this one lasts since they average 2 to 3 years of life from what I've read.

Light system. New it works great but of 4 lights installed in my pool 3 failed. Now a replacement light just failed. Took it apart. These lights have o-rings that leak over time and then the circuit board inside is ruined. Its easy but expensive to replace. Once this system installed it us a big deal to switch to another brand. Pentair... you need to fix this! For a new installation I suggest owners pick another system.

Wow...was surprised how easy to install this (and I'm not super handy). Several YouTube videos walk you through it easily. And this was WAY cheaper than my local pool store for parts...and since it's an easy self-install, I saved another $150 doing it myself. Blows my mind what local stores will charge for parts and labor. I save about $225 via DIY ($75 saved on part, $150 saved on labor).

Installed and works like a charm. Pool store wanted $800+ for a new one with install. YouTube the install video and do it yourself!

As advertised - expensive for a low voltage bulb, but cheapest place I could find anywhere around.

Had this light installed by pool renovator in 2016 to replace old dim fiber optic light. New light really lit up pool. After 5 years, housing (inside pool wall) cracked, water got in to light and killed light. This is a well known problem with these lights. Bought replacement from Amazon for $400. Removal of old light and installation of new light was very straightforward. After 2 years, the replacement light has failed in same way... body cracked, water gets in and light is dead. Looking at replacing with same light ($400) or using Penatir Microbrite (with adapter) for $500.

My pool builder put these in and now I'm locked into expensive Pentaiir. They work great and are easy to install.

Edit: 7/25 This one too shorted out after just a couple years... Terrible design... And now the replacement is much more expensive... Lowering my review to 1 star. Found a replacement made by a different company with a lifetime warranty.. Hopefully this one will not have the same fate as these OEM Pentair ones. My in ground pool is only 5 years old and one of these was installed when built. It only lasted 5 years before getting water inside and shorting out. Looking on the internet... this is a common problem. Another review stated that Pentair admitted a defect and re-designed the light. Hopefully that is the case. The light I received was an exact replacement. The Manufacturer date was a month ago... so I know it is very new.. (not old stock) It comes with the tool to remove old light and install new one. It was actually very easy to do and only took about 10 minutes.
