This sunshield fits the entire front windshield and blocks out the sunlight. Heavy duty construction. The interior feels noticeably cooler on hot days. The heavy construction can make it challenging the first couple of times folding it up, but once you get it, it folds up in seconds.The trick is to hold one corner over-handed, the opposite corner underhanded, and then twist your wrists while bringing your hands together.Highly recommended.

The shiny side does not reflect nearly enough radiation, and the black side re-radiates that heat into the vehicle. Tests with a non-contact infrared thermometer shows that a cheap $7 Walmart sun shade stops much more heat energy. This is with testing the heat of the back of the sunscreen and the temp of the dashboard. The only reason I'm keeping it is because I need a nighttime blackout screen for my camper van. During the daytime, I'll keep the cheap Walmart sunscreen between the glass and this fairly inadequate heat shield.

Covers the entire windshield of a 22 Ram. Easy to put in, not so easy to fold.

This blocks out all the sun! So that is great. However, it is large and difficult to get in and out of the windows if you have a passenger. Tell them to watch their face as you wrestle it out of the windshield, fold it, and collapse it. My only recommendation would be to make it two separate pieces that overlap in the middle. Otherwise it fits the windshield perfectly and blocks the sun like a champ! All in all, great product. I’d give it 5 stars if it were less of a production to put it up and take it down. Once in place, though, it is excellent.

I have the ‘21 Ram Linited which has a large Center mirror device that impedes the unit from fitting flat against the windshield. Otherwise it seems to work well enough to still be good value.
