Most Brilliant Thoughts of All Time (In Two Lines or Less), The

Purchased from Better World Books-West with Prime shipping on June 28 & it arrived on July 8. It is in New condition, complete with the free CD in its original paper sleeve, unopened, attached in the back of the book.I got this to replace one I had access to about ten years ago and it's just as charming and witty as I recall. I also purchased "1001 Smartest Things Ever Said" at the same time. They're both treasures, although I know I'll reach for this one more often due to the subtitle, "(In Two Lines or Less)"

There are many books capturing quotations but this collection from John Shanahan is one of the best. It is organized by topics that get your attention and is one of those collections that I keep going back to reference. With all the clutter and media penchant for painting everything with a brush of black paint these days, this book gives a refreshing break confirming that we have been here before and that everything is not broken. I have recommended this book to many friends and rank it right up there with the insight provided by Richard Elder's incredible book "If I Knew Then What I Know Now".

We love this book. Someone gave me a copy years ago, and we've enjoyed it so much we often give it as a gift. Inciteful, pithy sayings. You can open any page and find something witty, or something that will make you think.

Not as good as others I have read, but pretty good

This is a must have for a lover of "one liners". Historical, to current. A little of everything for the speech writer or cocktail chatter. A really fun read.

This is my third purchase of this book. Is was recommended by the author(Todd Seiler?) of "How to Think Like a Genius" as an exercise to think MUCH more productively.

This is a nice collection on various topics of mindful quotes. Sometimes I open the book, pick a page and read the quotes just as a jumpstart to a deeper thought.
