My husband never used a lathe and wanted to ..and I had no clue where to go first and hadn't an idea of what to get. But I found these and they work amazing he said. He has made small baseball bats out of them for little leagues and even started making table legs for a business.whether your a beginner or experienced these work great! Still sharp after all this time but of course it isn't the product that needs to stay sharpened on its own it is the customers doing to keep them as sharp as they need them the more they are used

They are comfortable, but they didn't come with an edge on them at all. I noticed when I unboxed that there was a bit of rollover on the edge of some so I checked on my lathe. Had NO edge at all, barely would cut even when placed in good contact. I had to spend time sharpening and setting angles before I could being using. They did sharpen up good though, and are fine to use after that.

States great for beginners but these tools are dull as butter. States come in high quality box, cardboard box, not high quality. Would not recommend even for a beginner.

The tools we received were in a box that looked like it had been sitting on the shelf for months and was actually wet and, when opened, the tools were not secure in the box and had very clearly been opened, used, and then hastily repackaged and returned to be resold. That wouldn't be the worst thing in the world except the wooden handles are rough like they hadn't been sanded properly. Which again, fixable. Except there's actually mold growing on the damn things. Several of the tools had rust at the base and were loose, making them very dangerous if used. The metal was pitted in spots on at least one of them and had blatant marks that showed where it had been used before being returned.Not only is this misleading and dirty to resell used merchandise as new, the tools are disgusting and unsafe for use. We will not be buying from this manufacturer or seller again and would caution anyone else to avoid them if possible. The pictures attached to this review were taken within minutes of opening the box after receiving them straight off the delivery truck.

It was a gift for my husband. He uses them on his lathe.

Thus is my first time buying a set and I was looking for something sinple and unexpensive but this set is not worth the money. None came sharpened, the metal is weak, it bends and one of them, the tip even broke off.

Good price. Chisels need constant sharpening to keep an edge. They also heat up and blue quite quite quickly. They’re a good starter set (lots of sharpening practice)
