Thermo-Tex 2831818 18' Round Swimming Pool Solar Cover, 18' x 18', Blue

I can’t even tell you how much I love this cover. It obviously does not keep dirt out of the pool but it warms the pool to bath water temperature. Not exaggerating. I’m pregna and my 10 year old kept asking me to get in our pool but the water was so cold. So I bought this cover and it changed the game. I swim all of the time with him. We really enjoy swimming at night with glow sticks. On a side note I don’t ever take the cover off because it would be a hassle. I fold this cover over itself from each side into a small island and we leave it in the pool while we swim. Seems weird but it works great for us. Because th if my boys like to swim across the pool and use the folded cover as a prop in their games . Always supervised by me in the pool of course.

This is a great inexpensive solar cover. We are in the northeast so nights get cool but this has been an unusually warm and sunny summer for the dreaded cloud belt. Our pool is a consistant 85 to 90 degrees. We have an 18ft by 48" AGP. I read a lot of reviews about the bubbles dry rotting and coming off in little plastic pieces an only lasting one summer. I am buying on that premise. If I can get a full summer out of one then I will just buy a new one each year and throw the old away and not worry about storage. My pool is an above ground and I don't expect to have it forever so I consider it a great value. Also it is a tiny bit larger than our 18 ft round so there is no worries about sizing. We just flip the edge over a bit to get it to lay flat on the water surface.

Took a couple days to shrink to size as stated by seller. Works great! Warmed our pool up within a few days about 8 degrees or so. We keep in on when we aren’t swimming so it can work it’s solar magic. Lol. It also works as a debris shield too without having to put the pain in the ass cover on everyday. One person can put it on no problem. Always make sure bubble side is down!

We have a small, indoor therapy pool & our 1st cover lasted 4 1/2 yrs; I'm wishing I had listened to husband & ordered another 1 of those, instead of being scared away by recent low ratings & the fact that I would have had to pay postage. This cover is poorly made: the seams pucker badly & won't lay flat, bubbles are only half filled with air, & the "finish" on the bubbles makes them grab on to cover when you're trying to pull it off the reel & over the pool; it is a major hassle to get the pool properly covered. (not to mention that neither end was cut very straight ... one was very crooked) We thought it might "settle in" after awhile, after 4 + yrs couldn't remember exactly how old one looked when it was first installed, but after a week it's just as bad, if not worse, than it was the day we installed it.

I was amazing on the quality of this product for the price. I will 100% purchase this again. I have a 18 foot round pool and it fit perfectly. It is to me the perfect thickness.

This thing does what it's supposed to. Warmed my pool enough that I dont scream getting in. The downside is, you cant really get it in or off without help and even then it's a monster. I find myself not putting it on because it's such a pain. Maybe I'm just being a pansy. ;)

I have purchased many different kinds of solar covers over the years and have never had issues with the fit of the product, or the cover blowing off in the wind. I have both of those issues with this cover. It's simply too large for my pool even though I have an 18' pool and purchased and 18' cover. It doesn't fit flat against the water like it should, and since it doesn't sit flat, the wind likes to catch it and remove it from my pool. When it stays on the pool it does seem to do it's job and retain the heat, but it works far worse than the Intex cover that I previously had that this cover replaced.

We have 16 pool, this is 18. Just tucked under. Didn't blow off during heavy wind thunderstorms & kept leaves & other debris out
