Can it be used for LP gas?

Can you use this on pvc cleanout adapter threads?

Yes, you can. Actually, Rectorseal would probably be one of the BEST products to use in this situation. The product description states that it can be used on PVC and CPVC. Rectorseal is a tan-colored, thick paste that acts as a lubricant and sealant on threaded connections. It is NON-hardening, so it STAYS as a paste. Since the PVC clean-out is a threaded connection, it should work just fine, without hardening or deforming your PVC pipe.

The picture and the description both say 4 oz (1/4 pint). the technical details say 8 ounces. which is it?
