I thought the item was going to be bigger but I was (pleasantly) surprised it was smaller because this was it was more portable to take along and put in a suitcase without it taking up too much space. The body tape measure itself is solid and the recoil function is neither too tight nor too loose. It’s just right. I believe circumference measuring is a much better way to determine gains made in losing body fat (especially the waist) and gaining muscle and this item is a valuable tool to easily measure progress towards goals.
